I was also thinking about clocking the tranny so i can fit a flat skidplate.

It"s just an idea but Im thinking of ditching the stock tranny and replacing it with a Traxxas tranny, the same as they do with the TLT's The reasons behind this idea are as follows;

Smaller, will be able to rotate inside the chassis and align the driveshafts more directly to the diffs without such extreme angles as there are with the stock tranny being clocked

I can still mount up a GD600 reduction unit

As I said just an idea but I would be interested on your thoughts about this modification

Thanks in advance
Bunyip
Thanks for the compliments.

I'm not sure a Stampede tranny would hold up using Moabs and a reduction, I'm guessing something would give. The stock TXT tranny is bulletproof, especially if you run bearings. An E-maxx tranny would be a good alternative.

No reason, just haven't seen it at the top lately. That, and one too many Capt. Morgan tattoos and root beer...

The Roctapus is what inspired me to buy Moondust his TXT 1. I have wondered so many times if it was ever for sale. I wish I had asked now.

Yes it is mine. I bugged BENDER about it long enough and he finally broke down and gave it to me!

So far I put CVD's on it, fresh shock oil, a couple of new rod ends, a new Tekin Rebel 2, 2 Hitec 985 servos(not enough imo), good old giant tracs, and a fancy TQ3 and 8 cells!

Plans for a brushless setup are in the works.

Right off the bat it impressed me climbing on snow covered rocks.

Looks pretty wicked Rckcrwlr, how is yours setup?

I might put some moabs on it, I kinda like the way it does now.

Never thought that Bender would sell his very first crawler,
There are al lott of people that took the same route like savy shocks, BTA steering etc.
Bender, you realy inspired very much people and i like to thank you for that.

-666-, How are the CVD's working out for ya,
i'm thinking of buying them to but i dont know if it gives you more steering then stock, Did you hack much of the knuckles/axles?
Show us more pictures!!
Thankx!!
