Wow. This kind of grassroots participation is why I like this hobby so much, and crawling in particular.

Toyofast told me to get a CC-01 a while back and I hesitated. Gotta find one now. I just can't wait anymore.

Has anyone gotten any firm dates from GPM yet? I received an email from then a day or so ago advertising new beadlock wheels, but I haven't heard anything more about the CC-01 parts.

I'm getting to the point where I'm gonna have to jury-rig my own steering setup because the stock steering slop is just unacceptable.

If you want a new propellor shaft/driveshaft... get a trans/wheel driveshaft from an Emaxx or Tmaxx...
So starts my CC-01 build

This thread is awesome. I never thought we'd be able to make this happen.

Next we need to get them to make a full aluminum chassis and top transmission cover... never have gears slip again due to chassis flex!

Hi guys, great info on this thread, just what I needed...
After lots of searching the internet I found this steering replacement on a German website, looks quite sturdy but very pricy!

I herd a rumor that these weren't available anymore, and here in Australia that 50 euros is almost 100 bux!! Way too steep for what it actually is.

don't worry, just wait.
i have the feeling that there will be many new and exciting options available soon... and then when the other companies see the attention drawn to these particular items, they will offer their own versions.
sorta like 3racing...

I paid the deposit on mine. A total of 15 bucks for two sets, so the total will be 30 bucks shipped for two steering sets. Can't beat that!

Do you guys have an order number or anything for the steering kit? I haven't had any mail from them since the 'thanks for your input' email I originally got and can't find any info about cc-01 parts on their site.

The part number she gave me is CC048

I just paid the last half of my deposit and was told that the parts will ship next week!

This is some of the work I've done on mine with alum. parts that are produced by ATI Performance and also RC Channel, and some hand made parts, Im sure if you give some input as to what you would like to see, I can see what we can get done. I also put in an MIP drive shaft, I feel I would rip the motor out before the drive shaft lets go.

Didn't notice... and really, if the parts are decent enough, I could care less. No one else is making cool parts aimed at the CC-01 rigs. I have spent too much already on parts to try that I thought would work.

edit:

I went and looked at my PayPal account. Perhaps it's just me but I don't see this "9% fee" to use PayPal. Where did you see this anyway? Did you use PayPal funds, transfer funds or pay via credit card through PayPal?

Whoa! 9% of the total order cost for 'paypal fees' ???

Christ it's cheaper to just pay by CC if that's the case. I would certainly enquire about that number.
