Looks great! can we see how you mounted the body with the shell off? Thanks. The tie downs for the netting look great.

The stock tires still look cool though.
The rims that come with the kit look awesome but they're not beadlocks. They are stock Hummer rims. Mated to the Rock Creepers they'll add a bit more clearance to the Mog with enough space for full articulation. Here are some pics.

Looks badass!

Hi,do u know any good online shops that sell the rock creepers tires?

Default The "Brick" modification

So guys I've taken the plunge and cut off the crawler inhibiting brick off the CC-01. I've retained some of the brick to make a plate to prevent water from entering the chassis. However, the plate is too low. I found some 2mm thick flexible rubber and epoxy'd it then caulked it to seal any gaps for deeper water penetration.

Before

After

Here is the front rubber wall

Works like a charm! Had water up to bumper and water wasn't getting into the chassis from the front.

So I'm gonna show how I mounted the mody. As previous threads I showed you guys that I used thick PVC sheets and drilled holes in them to match the body post positions. I then trimmed the body posts to get the desired body height.
I then used velcro on the blocks and the other half on the underside of the body. The velcro is very strong.

I also placed velcro along the side of the front body block to mount my battery. It's a great location because its forward yet over the wheel wells protected from deep water excursions. You can see the velcro on the first pic. I'll post another pic later to better illustrate what I mean.

The front

The rear

The underside body

Awesome thread in the unimog. This is the kit I ordered just the other day. Can wait to get it here. As for the LSD in the front fr it and see if to like it. On my ax10 based scaler I have locked rear and 120,000wt diff lock oil in the front diff and I love it. I was thinking of using the stuff in the front and rear of my cc01. The good thingabout it is it can all be changed if you don't lime it. Again nice thread and thanks for all the pics.

No problem man. Any mods to your unimog since your last post?

Did you end up running an LSD in the front of this?
If so, how did it work out?

Actually no I havent. I still have it locked. I do have the steering upgrade for it and it still turns really well for a locked front locked diff truck. Sometime in the near future I'll try it out let y'all know how it goes!

Cool, I'm hoping to do the GPM steering & 4link as well. I'll be trying to stick with an LSD up front so it'll match my real life 1:1. Was just trying to find some more opinions in the meantime. But it only costs $8 to order the diff fluid, so I guess I should go ahead and take the plunge!

This a good build; I've been referencing it for my own! Thanks-

I put OFNA Diff Lock in the front and so far it's working well. The front wheels are like locked unless one gets in a bind then it diffs out.

The turning diameter is still huge.
