| New CC01 Mog Owner..tires/mods/lipo question
Hey guys just picked up a bone stock new cc01 mog. she was a shelf queen and besides locked differentials has nothing done to it. what upgrades are necessary? I have around $100 budget Also what seems to be the best tires for the cc01 chassis? I currently have the stock tires off my TF2 on it and they are "ok" anybody care to link me to a inenxpensive round lipo thats known to fit? I found a nanotech but cant confirm fitment before i order. thanks |

for the battery you should check out gramaciums thread he modded the stock electronics tray to fit regular straight edge batteries. I went a whole different route though.. I made the round hole square, then used traxxas battery hold downs with a telluride link to hold it down.. and I relocated the electronics forward gramaciums is the cheaper way |

Out of the box it's pretty solid but the steering is crap. GPM makes a steering kit that works better for some than others because the tolerances vary. A lot can be improved by shaving areas that bind. Yup I just squared off the battery compartment to fit larger & cheaper generic packs. Reedy wolfpack is curved if you want to keep it stock as possible. Reedy WolfPack LiPo 3000mAh 25C 7.4V w/T-plug connector: Reedy - Champions By Design - Nitro and Electric RC Cars |

I don't mind shaving the tub. I can't seem to find the Gpm steering in stock anywhere

The best mod you will ever make for most Tamiya kits is bearings instead of bushings. I would just search cc01 bearing kit. |

I run Peak 2s 3300mah and 4200mah in my cc-01 they are quite snug. I use an extra body clip to "hold" it in, but it can't even wiggle in the tray
