| 20 degree axle C's
Saw these at nationals, all of the team drivers were running them. The 20 degrees of positive caster is really supposed to help with steering out of a hole. I was told they will be available soon, can't wait to get mine! |

Caster has nothing to do with steering....you're thinking of rake.

Rake is for motorcycles and bicycle steering stems, castor is for things with 4 wheels. It would be nice to see those wheel weights offeres as a aftermarket product, but i wont hold my breath. They look pretty amazing, but some things you either gotta know somebody, or make yourself |

If you change where the SHOCKS and LINKS attach to the axle, and or the frame, then you've changed the CASTER If you change the ANGLE of INCLINATION of the steering knuckles, then you've changed the RAKE It's not rocket science |

"Rake" is usually used when referring to bikes....."caster" when referring to cars. | |

I think he is confusing pinion angle with caster. This is what happens when you watch too much American Chopper and not enough eXtreme 4x4.....

| This is the engineering definition of CASTER, not my own take on things: "castor angle is the angular displacement from the vertical axis of the suspension of a steered wheel in a car, bicycle or other vehicle, measured in the longitudinal direction." The term Rake is NOT exclusive to two wheeled vehicles. Wheel RAKE is an engineering term used when you're talking about streering axis inclination NOT the vertical axis potential of AXLE (aka CASTER). Why does everybody want to try them if they dont even know what difference it will make? Isn't this the same as swapping the original castor blocks around, ( or at least close?) how much difference is there? I AM GLAD to see LOSI making more aftermarket parts |
