You don't have to use one internally. Just use one o-ring when the axle is assembled around the metal end of the worm gear that sticks out of the plastic axle case.

Yeah I'm back See ya soon!

Got back out with the new setup and it did amazing! The grip and added clearance from the rovers helped out a lot. Had it endo a couple of times from the grip

Well I was changing my foam setup and got to thinking why not try the slw hubs on the stock wheels. I used the two short hubs that came with my vanquish wheels and ended up with this

Front is not great looking

Ended up a little over 10 1/2 in.

Little wider than I would have liked but not bad. Need some shorter screws too.

On the truck.

Nice little setup. The more of these build ups I read the more I want to build mine.

Glad I could help. The wheels have had no problems so far for me.

Took the truck to a comp this last Sunday and had a great time. The new front width worked great with only some minor downsides. I was at work the night before messing with mounting the RX and BEC on the front axle. Ran the setup at the comp and it worked fine. This is just a quick first attempt so it will be changed.

Had it out a couple days ago testing a new rear link setup.

Currently I'm at work to lighten the chassis some more

I finally bent my 6-32 link studs I was using since last year. So I have switched to 8-32 now.

6-32 on the left, 8-32 on the right.

Forgot to mention I'm running HD gears in the front now.

Currently working on this

Got some parts yesterday.

Got the tranny back together and got the idea to cut the gear cover from D lux.

Made a brace for the tranny from part of the chassis I cut.

Another view.

Got the truck back together. With the tranny flip done there is definitely more forward bias. Had it out today and it was more stable on climbs. I was very surprised how well it handled for changing so many things without any tuning

The rats nest I have yet to clean up

Bent the rear links.

New rear link setup. Used some spacers to push it to just under 12.5 in. Edit: Thanks to Olle P for the idea on the rear upper links.

Well three years later and I caught the itch again to work on this truck... Tonight I was messing around trying to add more weight to the dlux knuckle weights. This thing has been sitting around so long the brass is starting to darken I was trying to make a ring to bolt on to what was already there and in the process I formed a ring that goes around the outside.. Not sure how well this will work out but I ordered some wider slw hubs so hopefully everything clears.

Well I've had two of the Losi carbon fiber shock arms on the back of the truck for a long time now but I wanted all four to be the same. Turns out it's pretty hard to find those shock arms anymore... So I bought a sheet of carbon fiber and made my own! Also the knuckle weights are mounted. Not very pretty but it works. Added about 5 1/2 ounces of weight. They almost clear with 725 slw Hubs so I'm putting 725's in the back and I ordered 850's for the front.
