No, not any more than usual, if I'm not paying attention, when I'm in the sticks, once in a while I get my rear hung up! It probably would not hurt to run a peice of lexan under my rear link.

Well, I pulled off a 2nd at the February comp, my rig was great, but I didn't have my A game on driving. I had one repair, my screw fell out of my servo horn, so now instead of using the servo horn thread I have run a longer screw with a locknut on the other end. Lots of fun as always, no changes made to my losi since last comp.

congrats on the second! sucks to have a breakdown like that, but some loctite or a jam nut (as you stated) would end that problem.

I'm re-laying out my electronics packaging and remembered you offset your servo so the battery could be up on the axle for forward weight bias.

Did you ever measure your front and rear axle weights after that mod? I don't want to get much above 62-63% on the front.

Yes I did, I don't remember my weight, but my bias is 62/38!

Thanks. Mine is slightly more front biased than yours even though my battery is cantilevered from the rear axle. The difference must be in how we weight our tires and axles. I go for pretty heavy fronts.

How heavy is your rig? Mine is like 4 1/2 - 4 3/4! I have no weight in the rear wheels, and a stupid amount of knuckle weight up front to get to that bias. Also I only run knuckle weight, I have no wheel weight front or rear, and the wheels them selves are very light. I will post my current weight and weight without any knuckle so you have a better idea where I'm at.

Yeah, mine is old school. VP ProComps w/6 slugs. Max underslung knuckle weights and underslung rear axle weights. About 6 lbs. I tried lightening it but had a net loss in performance. There are a few other things I want to try.

Ok here we go!!!!

1. TAG wheel Bling Bling!

2. TAG widening kit!
- ok couple of things on this. First I tried to use a cheaper compound for the axle shaft adapter. That's a no go! Only use the lock tight compound specified by TAG. They broke free immediately. The other thing is I drilled the holes to close to the edge, so I had to drill another set, it's no big deal, but take your time! Now, these axle kits are amazing! I have all the steering choices and capabilities on the planet! These give you all the advantages that the axial axle has!

This is the bad compound and you can see how it broke free!

This is the right compound and you will break the axle before you break the bond!

Here's a few more pics of the process and complete

3. Blue monkey weights!
- with the capability of using vp wraith chubs and knuckles, I bought the nice fitting blue monkey knuckle weights to get all the weight I want!

4. TAG Lowrider Chassis
- this is the third revision of this. We have done extensive testing and retesting to get this just right for the LNC tranny and axles. This thing just flat out works, and has some really great key features. The tranny is just slightly off center to still allow the driveshaft as minimal friction as possible, but with the small offset we left in it the motor is now much better located on the rig. It does not hang way off to the side like the standerd flip mod. This chassis has many link options and allows you to use 3.5-4" shocks depending on what kind of ride height you want. This can be setup with a 50/50 bias or you can go 40/60. I have mine set to more of a 40/60. The g10 construction is very durable and very affordable. I kept the rear links and shafts all the same from my last setup, but I shortened the front and changed to a traxxas driveshaft for the front.

5. I finally quit being a moron and got an RS! After countless glitching fits and random uncontrolled reverse jerks from my Novak Goat, I finally stepped up. This esc is smooth as butter, I should have changed it a looooooong time ago! There's just no comparison!
