I like the tsls a little better in colder/wet conditions. Ive only had good luck for trail running with 1.9 ripsaws. Great in 2.2 though

tsl super swampers? That's realllllly vague. What tires exactly are you talking about?

Have run the ripsaws in 1.9 and 2.2 and have run the proline swampers in 1.9 and 2.2 I've used them in everything from trailing to comping scale trucks on some gnarly rocks. For both sizes in pretty much all terrain I'd go with the Swampers. |

| Re: witch is better? Thanks for the clarification. Now, I love the tsl-sx and have run them for a couple years now on a Honcho and now on my Dingo, but in the snow they suck... On hard packed snow where it's a little slick they go ok on flat ground but try to go up a little hill and no traction what so ever... I can't say if the rip saws would be any better.. You said you have both tires, time to experiment and find out for yourself. |

Only problem with the Swampers is the aggressive tread. If you're in soft snow or soft sand, they will dig holes much faster than a tire with a less aggressive tread pattern. They do tend to dig a little

| Re: witch is better? Very true! So in the snow I'm guessing they'll do a fair share of that. Good thinking, my claws do pretty well in the snow, they are uncut and pretty much new though.

The key to running the tsls in the snow is to go slow. Ive found when you go fast with them they just sink. Im guessing the ripsaws will do a little better in the snow due to the tighter tread but am unsure

For snow the best tire I've ran was the old style 2.2 Pit Bull. Fairly nice tread, nice and wide so it didn't punch through or dig too badly. You want as wide of a tire as possible with as mellow of a tread as possible.
