Question Sealing a vented rim?

I know a lot of you guys vent tires and some vent rims, but have any of you guys tried to reseal an aluminum rim that's been vented? I have a set I picked up and it wasn't disclosed that they were vented in multiple spots.

Seeing as I mainly just do trail riding and not full on crawling I don't really see the necessity of a vent and I like the looks of an "inflated" tire vs the rolled over look of a flat.

I was thinking since they are small holes maybe a 10/32 grub screw and some Loc-tite,may fix it? I figured if I tap it then seal it and maybe grind and overhang down it may work?

What are your thoughts??

A little JB weld might work, it can be filed or sanded when dry.

Hot glue works well.

Quality electrical tape; if the holes are in the outer diameter of the wheels like some manufacturers provide.

Good ideas have been presented by others already.

I've done it with grub screws(in plastic though so no tapping required) I've also used electrical tape if the inner surface is flat so you can get the tape layed out nice and smooth to be sure it seals.

I'd stay away from the more permanent methods because you might change your mind in the future and the option will be there to vent them again.

A small dab of Shoe-Goo works well.

Thanks for the input guys I think ill try the shoe goo first as I have some here and if I don't like the finished look ill go with the grub screw. They are pretty much on center line of the rim so it shouldn't be to hard to seal with any of these ideas!
Thanks again for he input.

I've done this! I tapped the holes and put grub screws in them with a little liquid tape on the threads. Any flexible glue like substance will do.
