Default 1.9 Hyrax mounting issue

I suspect i may have gotten one tire that has a defective bead on one side, any thoughts?

I mounted the other 3 on my bead-locks in a few minutes; on the last one i messed around for probably an hour trying to get the bead in-between the lock ring and wheel. It looks like one side of the tires bead isn't formed right. Also tried mounting the tire on a glue on 1.9 wheel and its the same thing, the bead doesn't fit on the wheel correctly.

With the foam removed from the tire, it honestly just doesn't look right to me either. The tire looks slightly deformed when laying on its side. The others don't do this.

The tire with the tape is the one in question. Note the diameter of the wheel sitting in the recess for the bead on the tire. Large gap on the left and no gap on the right.

try putting a tire band or rubber band around the outside edge of the tread to help hold it in place

Send some pics to Proline. I had a similar issue with a 2.2 K02 and they agreed it was a molding issue and sent a replacement. Excellent CS.

Same here. I had a defective opening. The hole was stretched so wide that the wheel would fall right through it. Proline quickly responded and sent me a replacement.

That definitely looks like a QC issue. I had a lexan body that had issues and they replaced it, very easy and friendly process.

I was able to get the tire mounted yesterday by leaving it out in the sun, I had to tuck the bead in using a small screwdriver... took a few tries but finally got it. The sidewall on that side is a little distorted still, so ProLine said they will send me a replacement... that was easy!

I suspect it’s the same issue Jato had, the hole is just stretched out on that side.

Great service, are they letting you keep the old one?

If so, ya got a spare!
