Thanks for sharing, I've really been considering a 3D router for some time now. It's really interesting to watch your steps, I learn more from a few pictures than hours of research in text.

CNC is an ebay special. Don't quite remember what the backlashes are. Out of the box they were probably fine for engraving, but pretty sloppy for machining. I reworked or remade the nuts on all three axis to tighten it up. You can probably find that info in the Eyeball Engineering thread.

Gotcha, mine is in mm and all 3 are .035 or lower. Anything over that and I'm notified
