wow, blast from the past product there. I've had some originals for nearly 10 years that didn't have the higher load capability. We used to mod them with bigger shunt resistors for balancing large ebike batteries. Cool little balancer/ dischargers.

That's what I thought for the price. I know the jury is still out on whether a storage charge really is beneficial but I'm a gadget guy so yeah. Actually, I think I bought it AFTER seeing the 3D printable case for it. :lmao:

Storage charge really helps vs storing at 4.2v or 3v. 3.6ish volts is the happy place for a cell to be.

I don't even have the truck yet but I'm printing parts for it, lol

Thanks for sharing the Venture tray link! I may have to try that. "thumbsup" You won't regret buying that truck IMO.

What printer are you using? Your stuff looks great.

I don't know if anybody else uses the AOKoda 150W LiPo discharger/Balancer but I highly recommend it.

You can get a nifty case for it that bundles all the wires and has a slide-open compartment to store the bulbs.

Link to it on Thingiverse

Compact little charger. Are the light bulbs for discharging?

Yes. The unit can be purchased separately and it will discharge but at a VERY low rate. The bulbs greatly speed up the process of bringing a LiPo down to storage voltage.

No problem, I've already seen how good the Venture does with little to no mods, I'm looking forward to a nice lightweight rig!

My printer is the Prusa I3 MK3, its met and exceeded my expectations. I have no regrets with the purchase!

I made up some spring perches for Wraith or Bomber shocks, theres a hole to run a zip tie though so these dont get lost.

If people are interested in this I can put it up on Thingiverse, just let me know.

Well before I even ran the truck I sat down and designed a flush cover for the Redcat Gen 8 rear bumper, it replaces the original hitch. I'm not anti cat, just dont want anything extra sticking out "thumbsup"

Got a new 3d printer (Monoprice voxel) and kind of went nuts over the last few days printing all kinds of stuff off of thingiverse.

Some pull tabs for the body clips, a few Mamba-x ESC mounts for my Trx-4's, a couple of rear bumpers for my scx10 (the bar style bumper was very weak and shattered in my hands ... Not sure how to strengthen the prints up). https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...db6c9fc131.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3517b40219.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...79e6744c3e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...12a2c470f8.jpg

Did you get it during their sale?

I'm not familiar with the Voxel. What's the print volume?

Why is the bumper printed at an angle like that?

I actually got it as a gift. I'm relatively new to 3d printing.

From what I understand, the Voxel is a rebranded flashforge adventurer 3. I've had this printing 12 hours a day [emoji23][emoji23]

That bumper needed to be printed on an angle because it was too long for the print bed. The strange looking supports are unique to the MP Flashprint software and it took significantly less time and wasted less PLA vs standard, vertical supports. My only issue is that the print was too brittle - much weaker than I've seen regular PLA print, so maybe it's a cheap brand of PLA+.

I assumed it was oriented that way to fit within the build volume, but wanted to make sure.

Can you share that software? I'd like to check it out.

For bumpers I'd suggest PETG at a minimum of that printer can do it. PLA isn't good at withstanding impacts.

The software is on the Voxel page, but it may only work for the Voxel (I've only used this software and Polar Cloud with this printer). Haven't set up CURA with it, and I don't even know if I can.

If PETG is safe like PLA, then I may give that a try. I don't have room vents where I keep this printer, so my material choices are limited.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

ABS emits an odor not PETG. I print almost exclusively on PETG and I don't take any special precautions.

Those turned out nice. What model Ender is that; and do you like the Crealuty Ender? I have a Makergear M2 and nozzles are $10 and a replacement board is $185. I have nozzles for the MK8 hotend, and for $10 bought a few. Also two of that style hotends. Much cheaper for hotends also, M2 $100. I want a second printer, but not sure which one for under $500.

It's the Ender 3. For the most part it has been great. I am trying to fine tune some black PETG right now. I had a glass bed on it but was having adhesion issues and didn't see much improvement from the stock bed so I went back to it because PLA sticks really well to it.

Re: What RC parts have you 3D Printed????

My first PETG print, new skid for my B1B bomber. Original test print in PLA at 30% infill didn't last very long, so this is PETG @ 0.1mm and 100% infill. If this doesn't work I'll have to either have it machined (maybe delrin?), pay Shapeways ~$65 to print it, or just give up and stick with the original skid from DMG...
