This is really cool, I can't wait to see the finished build. I am definately going to try this in the future to make a body. How is the flex, would it hold up to rollovers without cracking?

That turned out great! You know if anything to get around the rules, you could make a very skimpy 1/8" steel rod tube like frame to fit under the carbon skin. And some mounting points to tie everything together. The rules do not state how strong the tube frame needs to be |

Well this went together pretty slick, I decided to make some mount doublers for the links and shocks just for a little extra. The doublers are cut from a carbon pan car chassis and glued in with CA. Sanded the inside with 60 grit, it was pretty harsh in there. |

I used the same motor mount, b4 tranny and radio tray setup that I used in the tuber. This pod slides right in and out

So how many offers to buy this have you had so far? Nice pod. Looks like you have reinforcement in all the right places too. |

I set the ride hight at 2.25" with about 20% droop in the front and rear. Looks like I am getting a little squat and minimal TT. (carpet test) Thanks for the feedback an interest in the project. MikeP |

I dont give a crap about the rules. I would let him compete with us no matter what. From what I understand he would have to run a body to conform with national rules. That was a quick build! You certainly had everything ready to bolt up! |

I wasn't so sure at first, but now that I've seen the finished product it is pretty cool. Good job on that. Can't wait to see it with some rock rash. |

It's great to see new ideas. This should be lighter than a tuber and just as capable in a comp. Certainly interesting to see how it plays out. If some of the powers that be, had one of these and wanted to compete with it, uh you would think, if not legal now maybe soon. In my opinion certainly looks more realistic than a stick. My 2 cents. Seems a pity to cover it up!!! Covering a stick sure, got to make it resemble something 1-1ish. Great idea and build!!!! Show us more of your talents in the future |
