I was just telling my wife this afternoon that I wanted to make some high clearance axles and thats exactly what they looked like in my mind. Did you machine those yourself or have it done, can we see some internal pics??? I'm not to big on that tube chassis bit the axles are simply amaizing. Whats the width??

thanks guys, trickedoutnylint06, it's been bashed on the rocks last weekend and will see some rocks tomorrow. sorry but the axles are not available anywhere I designed and machined them myself, it took about 20 hours to machine. kamikaze, what kind of internal pics? I have pics of the axles in seperate pieces and some during machining. |

Hey how did you do those axle tube to protect the CVD/Dogbone? Did you use a lathe? also is it possible to get a close up of the diff to see what it looks like exactly. I am planning on building myself a custom crawler and am searching around for good designs and yours looks pretty good

i used a lathe, the tubes were fairly simple to make, the harder pieces to make were the ones on each side of the diff case because of the angle. same for the end pieces. I designed them on turbocad and have plans if you would decide to make something similiar. i will get crawlaholic to post some pics. |
