Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Thanks Jato! I think it was $360 plus shipping.. I've decided not to remember any prizes from now on.. If I cant remember I cant be held accountable, can I..? :D |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. I'm not a huge fan of Humvees but that is very cool. Nice work. |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. So I got some input on a british site on facebook, a tip on the original rims from the tactical unit.. So I ordered a set of those, and guess what..? They dont look that bad actually.. BTW, I sold and shipped the HiLux-body today, so you wont see that one again I guess.. |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Looks awesome! but maybe its how the pics are taken but it just looks so tiny?? |

I like to shoot pictures with a shallow depth of field, and those kind of pictures is what makes the miniature-look. Sent fra min SM-G965F via Tapatalk |

Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. So I got to take some pictures today.. Keep in mind that the tires wasn't glued to the rims since I got new beadlocks on the way that I hope will fit with this body.. I know they wont look as good as these ones(quite honestly I really love the look of the tactical rims with this body), but I think I'll hold back on buying even more beadlocks the coming weeks.. Ehm, I can't promise that last note will hold for long, but I'll at least give it a try.. :D Yeah, I mentioned pictures.. Here goes!! https://i.imgur.com/UvREhgX.jpg https://i.imgur.com/LeGRKDD.jpg https://i.imgur.com/NvQMS4Z.jpg https://i.imgur.com/GjwKv2F.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Vk0LY7R.jpg |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. A couple more.. https://i.imgur.com/fQZhs4t.jpg https://i.imgur.com/aFujWkM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/CN9iY6X.jpg https://i.imgur.com/3Wb1yST.jpg So that's it for now.. |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Yeah, I have to address a couple points I've had thrown at me posting these pictures on different forms today.. 1 - Yeah, I know it ain't scale right enough for puritans.. I know a real H1 has independent suspension.. But bare in mind, I'm newb to this hobby and to me this boddy UP's the ante quite a few steps from the lexan-wobblyness I've been dealing with this far.. 2 - Yeah, I know it's bought and not built.. If that bothers you it's you that have a problem.. I work somewhere between 50 and 60 hrs every week and do not have the time or guts to build this one myself.. I allready got one hardbody lying in a corner LOL'ing at me for not spending time with it.. So thats why I went the easy way on this one. 3 - Yeah, I know the rc4wd wheels is a perfect fit. And eventually I think I'll go for them. But I want to explore other wheels also, I've seen lots of photos of H1's on other wheels than those steel-wheels. So for the look I got those Tactical plastic-wheels just to get the photos. Those wheels are too light and will not be the ones I use regularly, but for the looks I think they worked out great..! 4 - Hell yeah! I forgot the last point.. But I know there was a fourth one, I will return when I remember what it was.. :D |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Since last time I've finally fixed the body mounting(I hope), at least so that the body will stay in one place as long as I dont roll a lot.. :D I also got the CNC-guys at work to machine some new rings for my rims, so now they're aluminium colored as they should be.. And at last but not least, I got stickers.. Stickers baby..!!! :D So here you got one picture to see the wheels and stickers.. What do you think? https://i.imgur.com/LottPY8.jpg |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. I think it looks really good. But like you said it's not to scale.doesny matter as long as you have fun with it. |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. I like the black wheels better than the alum because they act as an optical illusion, allowing the rig to look a bit more scale. The black also goes better alongside the other black accents... hinges, hood vent, lettering, etc... imho. That being said, I'm always a sucker for putting new wheels/ tires on my vehicles so I understand the enjoyment of changing things up... especially on a fresh rig. All in all I think it's a great-looking H1... definitely unique and I dig the sense of humor as a finishing touch. If I ever find myself crossing a street in Norway, I'll be sure to look both ways. |
Re: SiCkPuPPy's TRX-4 with a Hummer H1-body. I think the black rims fit better with the military feel of that H1 body. However I really like that style of Aluminum wheel so it would be a tough call for me to decide which to go with. My YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9c...rIucM37i_nx3aw |

Yeah, I like the way it looks also. I'm still in search for the perfect wheels tho', but yeah I'm having a good time and loving the TRX-4 in every way! |
Re: sickpuppys TRX-4's life up north.. Quote:
The black wheels looks pretty good I think, I may buy another set of those to try and paint them in the same color as the body.. What other than money do I have to loose? :D Glad you got the humor on the stickers, I'm planning on how to get to mark off some victims on there.. |
