Oh my that’s expensive. I paid like $278 CAD less for my K10 Ascender. That’s a big difference.

I will be curious to find out if the top and side panels are painted or decals.

I guess the body will be available eventually for a small fortune just like the Bronco. And of course I'll buy one anyway.

Such a great looking body yet they still have exposed body posts. .

I know hide away mounts would add to the price but would really add to the overall look of the truck.

Just wow. Traxxas is just killing it lately. Think about all the crawler stuff they’ve released in just the past few months! Agree with others, I hope for their sake(survival), Axial has been burning the midnight oil and preparing to release something cool at this point. But, it’s gonna have to be something over the top to even begin to compete with what Traxxas has been doing. (Including on the QUALITY front!)

I think I will probably pick up the Sport kit first as I have a brand new 67 Chevy truck body that needs a home but this will be next on the list.

I’m mostly anti-Traxxas, save for the UDR, and x-maxx; but the bronco body, and the Chevy body have me thinking I might pick one of these up for the spring.

Join the crowd. If you're looking for a good influence to talk you out of new RCs you won't find them here!

The licensing from Chevy may be more expensive. Good point. I don't see the two tone making it cost more unless it is paint because the Bronco is also two-tone. And the absence of a window decal should, technically, make it cheaper.

One thing that concerns me about the Blazer is that all the chrome and black trim appears to be decals. That's lame and I worry those will quickly peel and look terrible. In that regard the Bronco body looks to have more plastic trim that would logically make that body more expensive.

Fords have their own rotting issues with some models being known for it! But I agree - old stuff is cool - even old Fords.

Body clips work. Would you rather have the Velcro fiasco like Redcat is experiencing? I surely have no interest in magnets or Velcro. Been there, done that.

The official page is up. They look so, so bad ass!

The red and black one is the business. I'm going to the LHS after work to check one out in person hopefully. If they are as nice as they look on Traxxas' website in person, I may forgo the sport kit and pick one of these up instead. You can overland a K5 right? lol. I've seen them with portals, lol.

K5s have been overlanding since before it was called overlanding.

I've never seen one with portals though... lol

My LHS will have one on Thursday. If it is the black and red one, I probably will take it home. I can always put SSD's portal delete on it and drop the pinion all the way down to a 9 tooth. lol. Will have to see if that will still be too much for that motor in high gear.

The paint is definitely two-tone, the Traxxas site clearly states that it is, unlike the "sunrise" or red decal set for the black Bronco.

So riddle me this Batman... Traxxis already makes a platform that doesn't use body mounts requiring poking through the body and using pins. AKA their Ford Bronco chassis! Why not make the Blazer body able to work with the "Bronco" chassis? I know some may think that sacrilege, but come on now, neither Ford nor Chevy actually made any of this!

Seems like a lost opportunity to have another great scale rig body with out the tell tale signs of visible mounts.

The only difference i really seen between the bronco n blazer was the blazer is 1mm shorter than the bronco. Everything else looked the same. So y couldnt they use the same mounting setup?...
