| Looking for aftermarket shock hoops.
I'm looking for shorter shock hoops for my Bronco. I know Locked Up makes some for the rear of a SCX10 but I can't find any for the TRX4. I have a Deadloc low COG chassis installed on my Bronco and I need something that's a shorter shock hoop, the stock mounts are too tall and I can't fit my body as low as I want. I'm about 1/2 in above the electronics skid plate with the body sitting on the front shock mount, even without body posts. Any help is appreciated. I don't want to have to swap back to the stock chassis. Last edited by struhall; 04-03-2020 at 02:04 PM. Reason: Added pic of problem |

These are from Xtra Speed. (the ones on the right, I broke one of the leftys) They're a little shorter than the stock ones and you could cut the top row of holes off. That would make 'em another 1/4 inch shorter. They're just barely taller than my servo, but it is shim'd up a couple of mm. Just a thought. jim Last edited by dr frankenstyle; 04-03-2020 at 06:15 PM. |

Instead of shock hoops, I think you should checkout cantilever suspension. https://www.rcmart.com/xtra-speed-ca...28086-00082632 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Xtra-Speed-...-/143219961051 |

Jato, the front of the body hits the inner fenders like it was. I did some more measuring today and the difference I needed was right at the amount the arches raised with the aftermarket chassis so I swapped back to the stock rails. Got it sitting right on the stock skids and low enough to hide the stock electronics tray. I still need to trim the front of the inner fenders, they are hitting my light buckets and pushing the body forward. |
