A really Nice Truck!1 Well done on the 2nd place as well. I even like the colour. Not sure i would buy one as getting one to the UK would really bump the cost up.

btw I have ordered a couple of those LC70 lexan bodies. Got hit for the shipping though, which pretty much doubled the price. I have an LC70 hard body on my Venture SBK and if I find it too heavy these will be handy.

@M1tch. Thanks! coolness on those bodies... i am familiar about the shipping in the U.K., sold some bodies to a friend there a few years ago.

I am just about to order the LC70 cab hardbody for another build... can't wait to get that started.

______

unfortunately, i could not take photos during the comp... i was busy doing the scale points computation for the all rigs (class 1 and 2).

the course was an uphill then downhill with many crevices. here is a raw video of the whole course, it took me about 6 mins. the camera was mounted on my tx.

@v33 Thanks back. I have the Austar 313mm hard body kit on my Venture SBK. It's great quality, but on the heavy side for a crawler. The lexan body should make it more driveable.

Decided to do some tire testing today to see if my choice for comp tires was correct for our dry summer weather. I'll do another test when the typhoon season hits sometime Mar to July. I'm waiting for the Predator compound tires to be in stock, will get another set of swampers, also word has been released that Boomracing is coming out with a more stickier compound and would like to test those too when they come out.

Anways, tire setup used are different for each set, the results may vary.

https://youtu.be/gS_EdUsiG3c

btw, the Pitbull Rockbeast 2 XL and Proline Swampers are vented tires. I will try and vent the Boomracing Hustlers tomorrow and video a test again.

it's been about 2 months since i last posted and the rig has gone through some really nice trails. it's the same rig so no photos of it on those trails.

anyways, I am getting rid of the old style scx10 II based transmission and will go with this crazy thing that a friend sent me. it's got OD/UD and lowers the motor for better COG.

here are some photos of the trans case and motor mount...

still need to complete the bearings for this new tranny/trans case. also DIY a new electronics and battery tray that will be installed on the sliders (i dont want to cut my vanquish battery/electronics tray).

will post updated when i get more parts in.

finally greased everything, bought bearings for the trans case...

installed the motor mount and used my hw axe540 system, electronics now in place. diy carbon fiber trays for the electronics and battery done. used delrin bushings and grinded them down so the bearings sit flush with the motor mount. used an axial wildbore drive shaft to get proper measurements. pls excuse the wiring, still testing it.

tested earlier, no issues... will give this a real test this coming sunday when i hit our trail.

Looks great v33!

I like the t-case/trans and WOW, that motor sits really low! Any problems with links or driveshaft rubbing the motor? It looks really close to both.

Nice looking carbon fiber trays too!

Looking forward to seeing how it does on your test trail this weekend.

The truck looks awesome!

I've heard mixed reviews about the Incision shocks.

Where can we get that transfer case? It's awesome!

Dunno about the OPs but mine were a pain. The silicone caps are just annoying to get in with the right amount of oil and super fragile. They came partially built but there's no O ring grease in the seals at the bottom so leak immediately. Had to rebuild them right away. They are nice shocks but nothing special and they should never have sold them prebuilt in that condition.

Thanks!

Incision shocks suck, i really dont understand why they have a silicon cap... so old school, my proline powerstrokes worked better and are so reliable. @mond is right... this shocks is bleah.

sorry, the tcase and motor mount are not for commercial sale (i think only a few where made for friends), these where provided by a really good friend who had access to a cnc. there is actually an issue with it, the bearings on the motor mounts are too shallow that it should use 5x11x3mm bearings instead of the standard 5x11x4mm ones. if you use 5x11x4 bearings, it sticks out too much and the spur hits the servo brace. had to use delrin bushings for now, so hard to find 5x11x3mm bearings in my part of the globe.

there is no problems with the motor hitting anything, the clearance is spot on specially with the motor plate adjusted to use the 2nd to the bottom hole (there are 4 motor postions to choose from).

just about to leave, hopefully it does not rain (rainy season here)

btw, just found that the incision shocks leaked again for the 3rd or fourth time now.

i never rebuilt these shocks prior to installing them on the vs4-10, but one leaked after a few weeks after installation so i took the whole set out and replaced them with the Proline Powerstrokes.

this was on my scx10v2 rig which has been sitting in the shelf for 2 weeks now, i got a new body for it and boom... another blown bottom shock cap.

I didn't have much luck with my Incision shocks either. I used Green Slime on them, but still had a couple leak.

I swapped mine out for a set of Traxxas TRX-4 GTS shocks with 20W oil. These are a much smoother shock and they have never leaked.

I too thought the incision were leaky junk.

BUT if built correctly, leakproof!

Follow Josh's second build, NOT his original assembly video.

Ive found these are DROP dependent, one drop too much, LEAK!

Overtighten top or bottom, LEAK!

Exact amount of fluid, hand tighten top, and no leaking>

I've built Big Bores , Dravetech, and many Prolines without this much fooling around!

That sucks. I surely won't be gambling on Incision shocks.

it's those top damper oil seal... it makes assembly meticulous, this is what makes the proline powerstrokes easier to assemble and maintain. i dont really see any benefit to having these seals.

one day i will try the dravetech dampers... i have never owned a set, they say it is smooth as butter.

have you guys seen the Vanquish D44 axles being sold separately now... the front cost $189.99, with no knuckles seriously? the rockjocks sells for less but the machining process is about the same for both axles... what gives?

i wish the D44 was in the $139.99 range... that would have been more acceptable. i already paid the full price for the vs410, just a few days before they dropped the price.
