Why does de anodizing mess up the threads in the motor plate, I cleaned up my gear box by soaking them in SAK69 for a few minutes and the anodizing came off, now none of the screws will thread in???????? Now What????? |

It's not that they need to be cleaned, there's not enought threads left to hold the screw. The screw slides in and out without biting.

Sounds like the SAK69 removed the anodizing and some of the aluminum. Time for a new motor plate.....and leave the anodizing on it this time ![]() |
