I'm willing to bet they'll sell a lot of those bodies in adittion the kits. Looks great!! Might just have to buy one when they come out. The downside, I allready got too many cars and a huge pile of spares/upgrades for them. This is addictive..... I'm satisfied Axial finally got some competition. This might bring development and be good for our hobby. Last edited by Odd-M; 08-07-2014 at 09:01 AM. |

I see some really good things in there. I like that they have paid attention to real world 4x4 fabrication styles in the design of some of the parts, such as the design of the shock towers and knuckles. The adjustable wheelbase is cool, 11" to 12.4" is a decent range and basically mimics what Axial has done with link sets rather than one chassis. The axles look narrow which will appease many of the scale guys. The differential size looks much smaller which will also be a plus to scale guys. Overall, I'm looking forward to trying one and putting it up against the proven big boy on the block. I'm setting my prejudices of the Twin Hammers aside until after I own it |

Very nicely put together Vaterra! I will be ordering this body if not the kit to give it a good go over. Nice to see some competition for Axial and hopefully they up there game a bit as the scx10 is getting stale...

I'm not a CMS fan at all and the geometry looks a little off unless they just have the drag link proped up in the chassis somehow. BUT does anyone have a price on this? It may be my next purchase. And I'm SOOO glad Axial has some competition now!! |

Love the skinny tubes on the axles - much more scale than axial axles. Looks like a removable diff cover too!

Wow, really sweet. Kinda neat that it comes with a lot of options and scale trick stuff out of the box. Now let's see what axial does to bounce back maybe hyper crawler drive with titanium magnetic wheels

big ol bearing on the pinion. kinda weird that the pinion gear bolts to the driveshaft but it certainly looks like a much more solid design with driveshaft/pinion joint meeting right at that big bearing. very nice. |

| Re: New scaler - Vaterra Ascender True, a big bearing. However, I don't know that you need that big of a bearing with those small of a gear set.

With the design the bigger bearings are required as it looks like they took a page out of a race truck design book. Plus the bigger bearings should not have the same failure rates of the axial designs. The more I look at this truck the more I like it.
