Finally got the rear number mounted, there is still a little gap but not bad. I ended up using some front bumper mounts. Just had to trim them and drill a hole on each ones so they would line up with the front holes in the frame.

Easy there big guy... I said new shoes... Not new feet... You can always change shoes for the occasion... LOL...

Heck, I have 3 sets of stock wheels / tires left...

Honestly, I wanted something that looked a little more "stock" and "realistic" for poops and giggles... Doing the math and sticking to the "1/10th" scale thing, I figure this is technically a K5 running on 38" tires, not 47".... Now I feel like I have to take it to the park before batting practice and see what it can do....

And if it fails miserably, it is nothing a few moments with a socket can't fix...

I’d say it looks more like 31’s

Agreed.... Using the 1/10 math, which I am pretty sure is a little off...

Decided to move the old receiver box backwards a bit, I intended to paint it so it looks like a stainless fuel tank. Added a spring that slides over a standoff to emulate a fuel fill line.

Made my first set of true RULR's... Much better than my half-arsed attempt at reversing the battery tray mounts... Now the rear end is solid....

Thanks to all those who post and allow the rest of us to learn from....

I installed some rear strc titanium links awhile back and finally got the fronts after being on backorder forever. The links get rid of having to use the spacers. Also added to my gun collection. Going wheeling and shooting, Not sure which is more addicting.

Really like the looks of the damper shock in the front of your Ascender.

I didn't actually do anything to my Ascender but I did order my BP Custom battery relocation tray and my new Hot Racing Hex's came in the mail last night. I'm getting ready for the weekend and especially if it rains yet again. Now I will have plenty to keep me busy along with changing my shock oil setup.

Just bashing around my backyard. The weather has been a little cooler, so it isn't so bad being outside for more than 10 minutes.

The DS3218 servo is still holding up fine and has yet to even get hot.

Still bone-stock except for the wheels.

Extended the rear links by 6mm to hopefully get better climbing. Also modified an old front C-Hub to work as a panhard mount for the rear axle. I got a GOM upper mount from RCMart, but still have to figure out how to mount it. I might have to slot the lower screw hole to clear the chassis rail.

I picked this rig up from a local guy, he had it pretty dialed, but I added 12mm hexes and stretched the wheelbase to 320mm and I’m really happy with its performance.

Frankly, all I did lately is dig it out of my backpack where it was left after my last time running it...

Posed it back up on my speaker to the right side of my PC monitor so that it will provoke me into going back out on the trails as soon as they dry out from the heavy rains that we've had recently.

Damn, I love staring at it...
