I was having trouble getting the steering to work properly. It was brought to my attention that the drag link for the K5 is longer than the K10. (thanks Natedog) I decided to mount the drag link on top of the right steering knuckle as others have done. I modified a spare aluminum link I had laying around with some vaterra rod ends for the drag link. I also wanted to get rid of the plastic end on the old tie rod where the drag link originally gets connected. I found an old toe link from my traxxas summit was the perfect length to replace the entire tie rod. Put some vaterra end links on it and good to go! Steering seems to be a lot better!

Good job, I'm using that same Traxxas link with drilled out Vaterra rod ends on one of my Ascenders. Remove the spacer nut from between draglink and servo horn, use a thin 3mm nut to lock the screw in the horn and should be good to go.

Finally got a chance to take the k10 out. The woods is fun but I gotta find some rocks!

Thanks guys! Yeah. It's was one of those beaver things. Although I prefer the ones that finish what they've started!
