The plate is to mount an ESC to. the other one may be for a servo. hard to tell

If you ever want to go with an after market ESC, the plate screws to the car where the current ESC is and you mount the new one to the plate.

The other bracket is the cross member for the other optional servo position which were used for wb3 and wb4.

The cross member allows the servo to be mounted with the long side of the servo parallel to the chassis rails. Stock should be perpendicular to the rails.

When I got mine, I too wondered what those parts were for, I never bothered to look into it though. Now I know, thanks!

It's tough getting a new crawler, when everything is covered in snow and ice. I remember how eager I was to go crawling, when I first brought my K10 home. LOL
