Me too buddy. Even though in the end I'm adding more than there was to start with!

Moved the rearmost brace up and redrilled.
Drilled a hole in the battery plate and used a long screw/washer to hold.
MTZ just clears rear 4-link.

Might add a rear panel out back for some tail lights. Ill wait to chop the rear part of the chassis off for now.

Hood was on crooked in earlier pics. It lines up better than pictured.

Lights and stuff. Nine lights on now. Might add two rear tail lights soon.

I like your choice on the spare.
Looks a lot better.

Thanks. It was riding a little high.

Need to use a skinny tire unless you angle it more. As it sits, it just clears the rear 4-link.

Shorty SCX springs with SCX spring cups.

Ill try the the yellows first which are firmer than the reds. Yellows feel about half the firmness of the stock TH springs.

Preload collars left in stock position.

Testing to ensue.

Yellows too soft.

Went with SCX longer green springs. Topped off the shock oil.

Vaterra Front Locker installed

Testing the longer green SCX springs out last night and I was pleased with the new spring rate. It flexes just a touch more than the TH black springs but the front end stays up on cornering. Been raining so I'll see if I can get some more driving done later today.

Possible dual rear shock setup tonight.

Your paper locker reminds me of when I used to use silly putty. Works pretty well from what I remember.

I really didn't want to put the locker up front. I am going to drive it locked this afternoon for a bit. Then do the silly putty open diff if I can find some. Only 12 screws to swap out the locker and diff.

I even thought about the diff spring mod like some old HPI front diffs used to use.
This setup runs 4 spider gears though. I was looking at it last night and dont really see a way to get springs in there. They would have to be really short and i would need 4 of them. Dunno, i might still mess with that option. I have never run that setup so I am not sure how it really works in real life.

I put silly putty in mine, feels quite a bit better then diff oil, but wont know for sure till i get it back together and running.

Can you elaborate on that light setup? It looks great, I'd love to do something like that.

Report back when you run it.
I found some at Wal Mart. Just ran a 2200 pack through the truck with the locker. I'll probably try the silly putty after this weekend. Gotta wrench on the 2.2 Terra Cross rig next two days.

Just some HPI MTDT rear arms. Going to stare at them to see if i can cut them down or use them full length for the Trophy Truck Body I have.

Axail Light controller. Axial Simple LED Controller w/LED lights (4 White and 2 Red)
5 LED string for the EXO light bar. The front 4 lights are from a Wraith. There are two inputs on the light controller board. So I am maxxed out with this board. I will wire up two rear red lights with resistors and plug them into the futaba receiver soon.
Axial 5 LED Light String (White LED)
Axial Wraith 4 LED String (White LED)

Rear Lights.

Cut up a piece of old wraith cage for the lower support.
