Default Which aluminum hexes fit?

I ordered some Axial wheel hexes with my TH in hopes that they would fit, but they do not. I ordered the weird ones with the protrusion on accident. Not a big deal, although I would like to find some that do fit.

I'm not being too hard on my Hammers yet so the stock hexes and pins may last a while. I would prefer to have an aluminum set to install for peace of mind.

I drilled the centers on my hexes to fit the rear axle. 5/16 if memory is right will work.

Badger used the ones off the hpi mini trophy I believe they use the same pin size the twin uses compared to tamiya and axial

I could drill the centers on mine, but the hexes are made for a larger pin and I don't feel comfortable having that much play in the hexes.

The Losi MRC aluminum hexs will work but the centers need to be drilled out.

I tested fitted the Slash front tall hex units and they work plus they widen the front just a tad. Now I'm going to order the Proline Slash front aluminum hexes and run them at all four corners. Should have pics soon.

I hope they have set screws like the axial hex's do the wider pin slot will allow slop and break pins like they are going out of style.

They do. I run them on my Slash and have been very happy with them:

I picked up a set of HPI Blitz ones from RPP. They work great.

Is the pin slot the correct size for the Twin Hammers pins?

Not sure, but I bet the ones for a Mini 8ight will work...just need to be drilled out.

The Losi Comp Crawler hex's will mount right up.

Clamping hexes are pretty nice. I'll give the HPI's that I ordered a try first though.

At least other folks can check this thread and see what their options are for direct-fit aluminum hexes.

Uhh...don't try Mini 8ight hexes. They're a no go, sorry for the bad advice.

I had a set of stock aluminium scx-10 hexes sitting around and used those, I only need to drill them out slightly. They also fit a lot tighter in the wheels than the stock plastic hexes.
