Thanks Poprivet, but I hope he doesn't crash going down the other side!
Yah know, I wanted to step out of the box a little with this build, and I "think????" I've done it tastefully.

Oh, you know it will. I hate that first crash in a fresh built rc.

I have to say, Herbie the "THUG BUG" chewed the box up and spit it out!!!

That is why I have my yard rock garden covered in foam, so I don't scratch the paint.
I must say, for not planning any part of it and taking all those steps backward it is got to be my favorite build for me.

Glad it was on your tapatalk popular page, I just had to give a little bit of a hard time.

I've seen what that volcanic basalt rock did to the pumpkin on your Twin Hammer, so I'm sure we could do some damage to little ol Herbie!!!

Thought It was time for a little update. Herbie's build is going to slow down a little. It seems that I can't be satisfied doing just one build at a time, I wanted to get my Ascender back on the rocks so I started a rebuild for it in the Ascender section.

Some off body shots showing drive train and some electronics placement.

I think I may use this as a fuel tank?

And yes Pluto still thinks he is going to be the driver!!!!

Thanks for looking!

OMG Ernie, hot Bug, home "rock garden" (which is beautiful) and a sweet Road Runner! Great detailed build thread!

Goofy and Pluto are awesome too.

Thanks for the kind words Nate!! But sadly for me Herbie is going to a new home. I wasn't considering selling him but I had a offer I couldn't pass up. I will see if I can get the new owner to keep the thread going. Herbie is actually going down to the Valley some what close to you.

Sorry, It is by far my favorite build I have done. I think I have said many times on here that I enjoy building them a little more than I like crawling. At 67 it is getting a little harder for me to move around on the rocks. Having said that I still have another bug body just waiting for me to step out of the box on.

I talked to the new owner and they said they would try to keep the thread going as they finish Herbie.
