| Burning up motors
Hi everyone, I've burned up two 27t trinity motors in the last few days, a p2kpro and revenge of the monster. I'm running a axial ae5 with thunder power 3s 2200 25c. The first motor was geared on 28/78 (stock rtr) locked in low gear. While the second 27t was 22/78 locked in low gear. I did reassemble the first one right before it smoked, but what I don't understand is I was running it for 2 months prior with no problems. So I guess I'm just looking to see what other power combos and gearing everyone is using. Thanks for reading, Ryan |

I would check first to see if I have something binding some where. Are you checking your motor temps when running. once I start getting into the 150ish range I start getting a little concerned. Just my 2 cents. |

I've been running a dynamite 35T for a while with stock gearing. Lose a lot of wheel speed, but there Was enough to finish the Recon last weekend. How did you do? I found that this so called "rock bouncer" was very capable of keeping up with other rigs. Even the very built one's. I think you were the one that I was going to give the 15T I had, but I forgot I took the leads off of it. How did it do until you burned it up? Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk Last edited by wblteen; 04-22-2016 at 12:21 AM. |

I was running into problems the entire run, had to take the cage off 3 or 4 times before the motor went out, and I only got through 17 gates. Just ordered the single speed gear set off the Ascender, going to try that with a large spur and even smaller pinion. Center Transmission Gear Set and Spacers: ASN | HorizonHobby |

I'm surprised your burning up motors. I hope you figure this out. I like seeing twin hammers out there. Sent from my LG-H900 using Tapatalk |
