I have the Axial Night Vision System which runs off the battery but has a physical on/off switch coming off of it on two wires that is mounted to the truck. Could your unit be adapted to switch the NVS on/off?

![]() My controller should work for this application, but I don't know for sure. The circuitry in my controller works by switching a transistor connection to ground. If the Axial Night Vision System power switch works by switching in a ground, then everything is fine. The trouble is, I don't know for sure that it does. It could just as likely be switching in a connection to positive. To be safe, what I would suggest is that I provide a controller that uses a relay for its output, then there could be no problem at all. This circuit would be a little larger as the relay is a little larger than the transistor and it costs a little more too. I could do this set up for an extra $5. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks, Al

What is the max current for these? I ask because my LED light bar, Gear Head RC Trail Torch LED Lightbar, pulls about 390mA. If it can handle this current, I would be able to recommend your switch for guys who would like to remotely turn my lightbar on/off. Thanks! Jim |

The MOSFET transistor that I use is good for more than 10 amps, but I think that's a little much for the servo wire that feeds it. It would be fine for your application. Send me a PM and maybe we can brainstorm some stuff!

You could run a Y cable. Then when you operate the channel, both things would respond! Could install a switch on your rig. Normally you would leave the light control selected, but when you want to use the winch, flip the switch. |

alright, I am thinking to get a three way switch (On-Off-On) so, one On for winch and the other for LED, does that work? ![]() |

That could work just fine. In fact I just built up that very thing for a guy the other day. He was going to use it to switch between a front and a rear winch.

..are the LEDs and controller from Axial's AX24257 light system be waterproof on their own. I would like to have these Axial lights, along with your remote switch, but I drive under water quite frequently. What should I do to waterproof LED lights, the controller, and your switch?..

I can't really speak about how waterproof the Axial light system is. Maybe you con coat it in a conformal coating or plasti dip or something. My remote switch is already waterproof. The LEDs could be coated in something if you choose to. Silicone is another option, or hot glue, or epoxy. |

..ah, ok.....would this particular silicone adhesive sealant work?...here's the link to one on eBay: PRO SEAL Clear Silicone Adhesive Sealant Brand New 3oz | eBay If not, which brand/type silicone would you recommend for waterproofing around the light buckets and LEDs? Are these silicone safe to use on exposed wires on the LEDs?.. |

Silicone won't hurt your wires. You can probably find some silicone at a local hardware store.

Just had a request to make a small version of this lighting controller. The main goal was to have a really short cable that goes to the receiver. Beyond that, this picture shows how I am making the connection to the lighting now. Yes it is a lousy picture, but you will get the idea. ![]() |
