How do I pay? How much shipped to 92832?

Thanks.
Just wondering if operating the TLU-01 worked this way as I'm interested in doing the same thing.

If you are feeling brave, see if it will run on 6 volts. If it does, you can use the "Remote Switch For LED Lighting" or do the following...

I have another circuit that activates a relay. It plugs in the same way to your receiver, but it has a pair of screw terminals on the circuit. You could use it to switch one of the thin wires that connects from the male/female tamiya plugs to the Tamiya box.

You can have that for $20 plus shipping if you are interested.

Picture borrowed from Tamiya's site

Cut the thin red wire that goes to the plug in the upper left corner and put the two ends to the relay.

Same answer still applies here, except I have to charge $24 for the part.

I was hoping Gibzki would chime in if he ever tried it.

heyok, could you create a non servo relay? Something that would see maybe 3v and 50ma and activate a circuit that could handle 12v and 500ma? Have to work out the specifics yet but could be something I'm after soon.

Perhaps you could tell me a little more about what it is you want to operate.

I probably already make something that would do what you want:
Remote Switch For LED Lighting

Dual RC Switch for LED lighting or ?

RC Lighting Control Using External Power

4 Position Dual RC Switch for LEDs

4 Position Dual Powered Dual RC Switch

I think your "RC Lighting Control Using External Power" may be close to what I'm after.

I'm just working the idea in my head ATM which is why I can't give hard specs. What I'm thinking of is taking the pin outs from a lighting kit that would usually connect to a pair of LEDs and instead using that as the trigger for a relay to turn on one of the large LED roof bars.

That pin out from the lighting kit is probably about 3v and at least 50ma, I'm awaiting confirmation. The larger LED bar will be connected directly to it's own or the main battery.

Does that make sense? I'm working on about 3 hours sleep ATM.

I think I follow you, but the need for a relay puzzles me. I don't think a relay is needed as my circuit is capable of switching high current. The external power option of my switching circuit should have you covered.

I'm just using the description of relay as that's how I'd do it on a real car. Usse a relay on a low power circuit to switch a high power circuit. Will your cicuit work without the signal wire connected? In my case it won't be connected to a receiver channel, just a positive and gound.

My circuit uses the servo signal from the receiver to command the On and Off modes, so yes, the signal wire is needed.

OK, so could you make one where it activates the high current side just when it sees power on the low current side? ie one that doesn't require the servo signal?

Yes, I could. Wouldn't it be simpler to use a toggle switch?

You mean a manual toggle switch? No as I want to be able to switch it remotely. Basically I'll be taking an existing remotely switched low volatage/circuit used for just two LEDs and making it a higher voltage/current circuit to handle several LEDs.

I can do something like that. Let's move this into PM so that this thread stays on subject.

This post is just to show how the controller is packaged these days:

I have tried to make it smaller and lighter.

2 Questions:
1) Would it be possible to use your switch in parallel w/ the ESC to run reverse lights?
2) I live in Burnaby, how much for postage? (or do you drive @Ioco?)

Thanks!

EDIT: I did just see the other controller(s) as well, as I work my way down your list. Although I'm still curious about the answer WRT this switch too.
