I totally forgot that Venom made a spool and the hd diff case, I gotta come out from under that rock lol. I think this is the case he has TowerHobbies.com | 8411 Venom Heavy Duty Differential Case Creeper/Safari with this in it TowerHobbies.com | 8410 Venom Heavy Duty Differential Lockres Creeper/Safari. Hows it hold up?

1000 post....sweet. Hey asw27x, one more post to the 1000 mark for you too lol

Just wondering where those figures come from? Seem strange that the stock axial gear is a lower ratio than the underdrive gears if that is infact a ratio number??

Lol, I was having a moment, you were refering to to ring and pinion tooth count, all making sense now.

Sorry Calvin..you were right the stock AX R&P would give a slight OD...I was looking at the numbers wrong...I knew you had the R&P #'s but I was thinkin backwards........

AX OD GEARS 14/36 2.57:1
AX stock gears 13/38 2.92:1
Creeper gears 13/39 3:1
AX UD gears 13/43 3.3:1

Im thinkin a locker made to accept all the gears would be outstanding...way more options...for those that do want OD/UD.

Another consideration...possibly cheaper in the long run is an off-set locker made to accept an adapter ring plate that would allow Axial ring gears to be mounted to it. Or, an Axial friendly locker that works with the Creeper shafts and axle housings...but the off-set locker would mean that two adapters could be made...one for Axial rings and the other for the stock rings so a Consumer could switch back and forth without changing the axle shaft back lash.
Ummm.....I believe you meant, "One more tooth on the ring gear".

I just bought the HD alloy diff case & Venom locker since Calvin tore his up....well, I helped when I was disassembling the diff so he could redo the JB Weld in the spider gears.
It was a quick/easy purchase to get him going again. Now he has a broken ring gear tooth.
