Szczerba's 2012.2 Secret Agent'd 3.5 Bodiless Berg

Congrats Shane! Great hanging with you again as always. 8)

PM me your address and I'll mail you your trophy. "thumbsup"

Yep, JeremyH got me by a mere 2 points! Texans
Course two was a bear. I really had to work for the entire 5 minutes to complete it. I had 4 seconds left when I launched it through the last gate .
Do you remember that our scores differed by two points on the ETX course.....:ror:.....:flipoff:

I really thought that people would be able to easily complete that course....heck, when I was laying down gates, I thought folks would be getting the bonuses as well....guess I was wrong.:ror:

Thanks for putting on the event. I would have helped out alot more but trying to go easy on my old right knee. Heat doesn't bother me too much. Couple shots of Tequila at the bar later that night helped my knee recover though.

I ran that course 1st and was like WTF. Pretty bummed about it but then it turned out to be a "get as many progresses as possible" course, I was ok.

No kidding. I ran right after you and felt the same way....

Let's agree to never discuss that course again.

We all were at some point...but even not so new guys enjoy reading your threads! "thumbsup"

Thanks. Weather is warming up and I am keeping busy at work. Haven't been crawling since last month.

Great driving. Oh BTW antenna looks much better "thumbsup"

Thanks. Nothing that $20 couldn't buy.

sweet rig bro

I take it you were bored but thanks.

After discovering that two of my lipos had bad cells on two courses, I managed to drive this rig to a 23rd place showing at the 2012 Holmes Hobbies Nationals.
Truck was working really well. Wish my lipo luck would have been better.

I had to borrow a battery one of the times from Donnie(speedracer19, thanks a ton!) but the velcros were the same, so I ended up dragging the battery around the course but was still able to finish the course without having it come unplugged. I even drug it through the water!

I ran my first course and didnt do so well and then got a tip from Almighty Malachi to space out my shocks a little at the chassis. I only had time to make the changes on the front two shocks but it definitley helped smooth the flex out. Ran the truck like that the rest of the day, and it worked well. I will space out the rear shocks at the chassis in the future.

Thanks to John with Holmes Hobbies, Eddie with Crawler Innovations, my spotters, my pit crew (CD13 and Chad30w) and all the folks that put this great event on. "thumbsup"

Thanks for the pictures XLR. "thumbsup"

I got the same advice from him, I spaced them out a total of 12mm on each side and went from 30wt to 50wt. It became MUCH more stable, predictable and solid everywhere. If you can get away with making them nice and wide without getting hung up on them, do it!

Nice work on the position despite the snags! "thumbsup"

Thanks. Yep, Casey is good with the tuning tips. Ill be making some other changes in the future too.

Awesome finish for having issues! Great job Szhane!

Yea, dang batteries. New comp batch of batteries already ordered. All mine are about a year old. I do balance charge 100% of the time too.

Are you doing the rear tubes only?

Nah, delrin on all corners pretty soon. just a quick post to show the weight loss of the rears. ill break the front down tomorrow and weigh em up.

DLux gear case covers
8mm Aluminum DLux Rear axles next week
Motor mount milling from a local guy, case shaving
Sniper Carbon Fiber tube uppers

Sitting 4lbs 6oz at Nationals
Trying to scoot below 4lbs or get close, we'll see.

Hello Shane,

well done at Nats... I'm fan of your driving style. A question though : you're the third guy I see modifying the SA chassis front (Del Monte & Racer_ZH also did), so what this mod brings ?
Ty,
Emmanuel.
