Wait till you have all your parts on hand and you can put it all together with something under your tranny to space it up.

I used mixed matched mips amd traxxas max shafts, angle wasn't bad at all.

But you deff have me thinking about coping your truck. Lol

I'll do that. I definately have the room under this interior pan for the skid to come up, and that is a great idea for sure. I didn't measure the stock Wraith chassis to see where I stand as far as height goes, but I want low and mean. I'm trying to decide on where to mount the lipo while I build. Right now the stock Exo spot looks promising with a 1350 or 2200 lipo. That should also help balance the weight too if I mount the ESC and all on the drivers side. I'd like a easy to change type setup, so this may be my best option.

EDIT: Just found this. I think this cage mod will be possible without causing issues.

More than balance, think front weight bias, yeah you can stack the front wheels full of weight but that has its limit.
Low weight is great but low and over the front drive shaft will do ya even better.

Why does No one make a front motor mount for this thing?

And I just found the small Panhard mount for the wraith - do you need one?

Nah, I think the one on my axle will work but thanks "thumbsup". As for the weight, I've got beeftubes in the axles and I also have a set of Bluemonkey axle weights to tune with. I like a little forward bias, but nothing crazy. With it having the servo up high on the chassis like it is now it's front bias already for sure. I'll built it up and then throw the weights on if it needs it. I made some decals for them so they look like brake rotors. Gotta keep it scale :mrgreen:. Nothing in the rules about axle weights, but I don't want them sticking out like a sore thumb. The skid Idea is a 90% reality on here though. As soon as I have it a roller I'll check into it "thumbsup".

I got the axles and shocks mounted finally. Since I am running a CMS and panhard up front I left off one of the upper links to prevent binding in the suspension.


I took the Proline Powerstroke shocks that came with the Exo I bought and modified the spring cups a little and bolted them on.




I detailed out the engine too :shock:


Next I mounted up my Crawler Innovation foams. I went with a 6" comp cut inner and firm outers up front with a little weight in the wheels and some 6" skinny cut inners with 5.5 soft outers and a soft tuning ring in the rear. They have just a hair more weight in them.


What I expect out of the steering.


I love the stance on this thing.



My waterproofed electronics from Holmes Hobbies showed up :mrgreen:


As well as the VP lightbar from CKRC.


I need to get some mounting brackets for it. I'm thinking about using some JK brackets. Should go a little something like this.


So next up is to get some brackets for the light bar and a fuel cell for the rear. I'm thinking either a Yeti fuel cell or a Proline. Once I get the MIPs in I'll get the trans and all mounted up "thumbsup".

I'm not sure on the first question. I set it up like this from the start. The shocks get very close to bottoming out before the servo and truss hit each other. But you never really have full on compression up front anyway so I can't see this being a issue. The w.b. is a stock Wraith w.b. The skid, links and axles are straight out of the Wraith handbook. It may get brought in a little if I raise the skid, only time will tell.

Alright yea mine are the same the bottom out about 3mm before full compression.....i want to use the cms mount to a servo winch and awesome about the wb i need to shorten mine its about 14.5 wb and low which makes it rub on most rocks may e bringing it to stock would lift it up a little

I love Wrexo builds, and especially this one. Nice work! I may have missed it earlier, but may I ask why you mounted the shocks upside down? I see no reason really why to do that. Otherwise looks absolutely killer!

Thanks. There are two reasons behind the shocks being upside down. First is clearance. The tops of these shocks a bigger than the cups so they rubbed when upright. The other reason is to keep the weight down low. The upper halves of these shocks are fairly heavy "thumbsup".

I thought about it. As it stands I used some that were 1/2 longer than stock and it still wasn't long enough.

I got my BGR bumper in the mail today. It looks very nice.


I chose his bumpers to save on as much weight as possible.



Got the CLAW winch mounted with some scale zinc hardware.


I looks great on there.


Plenty of clearance for the servo horn.


Excellent approach angle too.


I noticed a little to much flex in this area when I pressed down on the bumper.


So I made these two pieces out of some left over plastic.


That did the trick.


Next up I mounted the interior pan and the motor in the back.




Next up is the radiator.


I tucked it up under the rear light bar.



Looking mean as hell if I do say so myself. :twisted:



The next scale item (which I'm trying to find) is a Proline fuel cell to mount here. This is whats left of the one I used on my K5.

Thanks Eric. It's pretty nice stuff. I think I have one piece (for the lights) that's off just a hair, but that's expected for hand made equipment. I love it for sure.
