Beers

Heck ya Jess this weekend is going to be awesome. Cory and I saved a beer to age from my Birthday last year i cant wait to open it this weekend! Pics later

So tonight I went to our local awesome little beer/hombrewery shop, and bought
Spaten Oktoberfest

Spaten Oktoberfest is a pretty good beer, especially for the price, ~$8 for a 6pk. If you like it, they have a Dopplebock called Spaten Optimator that's good too.

This weekend is gonna be sweet.

Firstly, a bottle of Tangueray Rangpur.

Also, I found a Stone Vertical Epic 10/10/10 and a Self-Righteous Ale.

And a Two Bros Hop Juice.

And a 30 pack of you know whats!

Friday! Friday! Friday!

Oh and looky there, it's after 5 o'clock!

How much is the average cost of a case of beer in the US? (case as in 24 beers). Here for Budweiser it's $41.98 (I'm just using Bud as an example, I can't stand that crap). For 3 bottles of Guinness and 1 bottle of Sol it was $9 something last week, mind you we are taxed for everything except for breathing but I'm sure that'll be coming soon.

Lets just say I could probably buy a 24pk of Bud and ship it to you for less than what you buy it for.:ror:

I stopped buying Bud since the sold the company. Trying to buy local also. Anyway I can get a case of Bud for under $20.

I bought 8 - 16oz. cans of various beer up at the LCBO in Ontario last month and it cost around $18 which is nucking futz.
Here is one of them.

The three 22 ounce bottles I bought today total about $22. As was the Tangueray 750 mL. I spent $60 on booze today, and it'll likely be just about gone come Sunday night at bedtime.

I had this on Tuesday! The beer is black. I think you guys might be able to figure out what it is by those two sentences.

Tried a few different beers this week while in DC for business.

Bell's Two Hearted Ale (Draft) - Decent, but a little too bitter for my tastes

Boulder Fresh Tracks Wet Hopped Ale (Draft) - Pretty good, would definitely drink again

Cooper's Pale Ale (Bottle) - Pretty good, very mild, easy to drink

Bell's Hell Hath No Fury (Bottle) - Good, but the smoky aftertaste killed it for me

Palm Belgian Pale Ale (Draft) - Decent, however, not nearly as good as most Belgian beers I've had

Delirium Nocturnum (Bottle) - Good beer, but way too pricey for how good it is

Flying Fish Exit 4 (Draft) - Excellent beer...my favorite of all the beers I tried this week

Well that makes it sound not good. :ror:

It was $9.75 for a bottle in the bar/restaurant. However, it's $4.29/bottle - $15.99/4pk at my local Total Wine which is much more tolerable. That price puts it in line with St Bernardus brews.

... sips his new Guinness...

7.5% alk, and no nitrous fuzzy.

Foreign Extra Stout is brewed with generous hops and roasted barley for a bittersweet balance & full-flavored, natural bite. Developed over 200 years ago for global export from Ireland, the addition of extra hops ensured this Stout would arrive to its destination in perfect condition.

Good, not great. Content with it coming as a 4 pack, cause that's probably all I'll want of it.

Got some Stone Levitation Ale too.

Foreign Extra, little different than the others. New to the market.

You guys know of the lucky beer? The one with the price tag? The chosen one.

Save it for last. Been doing that for years.

Flying Dog. This beer is stupendous! So floral!

So intoxicating! 8.3% IBU: 60
