Beers

Saw this, laughed that they didn't spell juice correctly, and therefore, bought it.

This stuff is making me hot! Same thing the cashier girl told me happened to her when she drank one. The flavor isn't nearly as terrible as some of the other brands out there. Much less nasty, but still not good.

This stuff is pretty darn good:

Craving the Founders Centennial for the entire week I finally caved in.

I also bought Stone's Self Righteous Ale and this crazy stuff from Dogfish Head.

Sahtea

A modern update on a 9th century Finnish proto-beer.
Brewed with rye, we caramelize the wort with white hot river rocks, then ferment it with a German Weizen yeast. In addition to juniper berries foraged directly from the Finnish country-side we added a sort of tea made with black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and black pepper.

The spicing is subtle and balanced and Sahtea is a highly-quaffable, truly-unique brew with a full-mouth feel.

Oh, and I had these a few days ago. Oberon was like Blue Moon, not bad, but not great.

The Monster was less malty than I remembered from last year's experience, so thats good.

Not real big on the micro brews, but Oberon is one of my favorites. Another good Bell's is Two Hearted Ale. Some people put and orange in Oberon...like they do with Blue moon.

Im just having a few Labatt blue lights tonight.

Due to a small swellage of the eyelid I stayed home and had a beer for lunch.

That's from when I woke up, it's less than half that size now after hours of a hot compress. Still hurty though.

Elevator Brewing is local to Columbus. This is an interesting IPA, with a thickish mouth feel, pine citrus to malt to bitter, even though it's 65 IBU. Bottom 1/3rd tastes like alcohol, and it's pretty strong at 7.6%... probably not gonna spend too much on these again. I'm just so addicted to Founders Centennial, nothing compares really.

Yes it does.

I have been digging some can conditioned Fat Tire. It is floating and camping time after all.

Tonight is a boring but tasty old Boulevard Wheat.
