I was raised in a true southren babtist church.
Was taught once saved allways saved.
been in the same church of Christ for 20 years or so.
Never heard once saved allways saved in this church.
have heard I am not God , I do not know. Not place to send anyone to hell , and my fav. Would not wa t to be in his shoes.
the story of the prodical son from the bible is about a son lost in the world.
most people feel it tells us we are not once saved allways saved.
I do not inteend to find out.

I said easy, not rational or logical. Explaining evolution in depth is not any easier than explaining creation in depth, though upon examination of the evidence, it is a more rational and logical conclusion.

There are no quick and easy answers if you really want to have a good understanding of something.

Its quick and easy if youve done the research. If youre learning yes, it takes some time and understanding. The answers are still the same and obvious with reason ans logic.

The basic answers are the same, but the semantics can be lengthy.

When someone says "I don't quite understand...", then a more detailed explanation is required.

Jesus gave up his life so we could be justified with the father ,,Jesus last words where it is finished .Also Hell was not created for us ,but for the enemy of God ,,Sorry if you don't believe in what Jesus did your His enemy ,,,

I always avoid debating in the religious threads here, but have always wondered about the "If you don't believe, you don't get into Heaven" thoughts.

It seems many people believe that when you die, you are destined for one of two places...Heaven or Hell, and your behavior on Earth determines which plane ticket you get.

So if that's true, non-believers are destined to the same place as murderers, rapist etc., etc. ? Or is there some other place they go?

I'm only asking because I honestly don't know.

The People asked Jesus what must I do to do the work of God ,, Jesus replied Believe in the one he sent ,,It's not hard to have belief in Jesus .One guy said to Jesus help my unbelief ,And Jesus did.

If we ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior ,no matter how bad our past is we will be saved ,Because of what he did on the cross for us ,Not because of anything we have done no matter how good of a life we live or how we give to those in need ,,Its what He's done

,Those that refuse him are doomed and it don't matter how good of a life they have lived or how bad ,, doctors, lawyers ,even that sweet little old lady that is always nice to you ,If they don't accept What Jesus has done are lost ,,It's a very sad thing to me to talk to my 80 year old dad and he tells me that those are just stories and not true ,,

Thats the great thing about science, it just needs time to figure it out. Doesnt matter though, regardless of what facts come to light in the future about existance there will always be folks that believe the earth was created six thousand years ago. Along with other stupid sh!t.
