I wanna be Dave
My wheels are on a diet too. Trying some new ideas similar to you. I have heavy wheels with Rovers and another set of Light wheels with Panthers. Really liking the light set up but wondering how the Rovers do with no weight. The Panthers do great but seem too short to me now :?.
Anything negative about the rovers you noticed with the light set up?
You just have to be more attentive on the descents. Front dig and ready to hit the throttle to keep the rear from coming over. A very small learning curve as I compete in 1.9's too and that is a common issue for me with the little Losi's. I put these together with the intention of just messing around, not competing. I don't even have an ideal foam setup. I just threw them togther. But when I tested them last Wed before WCC I knew I would run them. I made climbs with ease that I could not even come close to before. I went from 3/16" to 5/16" limiters in the shocks to keep the ride height at 3-5/8". Trsck width is about 10-1/4" now. My next batch will have a better foam setup to improve side hilling which is currently an 8 out of 10 right now. But I was able to complete all the side hill gates without issue at WCC, I just needed to approach them a little more careful than others.
