Brake Weight

I think it’s listed on their website.
Would a brushless motor for a drone fit? Seems small enough... https://www.banggood.com/DYS-D2830-2830-750KV-850KV-1000KV-1300KV-Brushless-Motor-p-986143.html
As far as "Drone" motors, yes an out runner can work, it's been done on the barrage and other Micro crawlers, the one posted however is way to large.
It would take some creativity to get a 130 motor in there. The factory motor is nice and low, but it's tight against the chassis and the factory motor plate is plastic molded to the transmission housing. Won't be a simple bolt in or even as easy as the Losi.

The length isn't an issue at all. That's easy enough. It can obviously be done with another transmission, there are a few options. For some reason I'm determined to make it work with the stock transmission. The easy way out is to just use a full sized servo connected to the transmission. I've seen it done and it crawls great, but I'd miss the bump speed. Maybe a fast servo would work.

I was thinking of this same thing this morning.
Speaking of servo’s, maybe I imagined it but I thought I read where someone used the motor out of a servo on one before???
