Props on that EVGA velcro strap! The $1000 I almost spent on an EVGA 2080Ti went instead right into a TRX4, haha. My 980Ti will suffice another year.

Those EVGA velcro straps came off a power supply. It fits perfectly for the front battery plate.

I started putting my kit together last night. This is my first trx4. My first impression was that this thing is limousine long!
Good grief those rails go on for days, and the bumper mounts add another footlong to it.

I'm worried approach and departure angle isn't going to be good enough (even with tucking in the bumpers or no bumpers at all).

Oh?? And I was going to lengthen mine out to 12.8 for the new proline fj body.

I'm guessing he'll get quite the surprise when he actually runs it, my Bronco is the same wheelbase as the Sport and it does great, the Sport should be slightly better.

New sports kit look interesting, not least if you hold it up against something like the redcat gen 8, or for that matter other more expensive TRX4 models.
Big + is you can already get a ton of upgrades.
Bit let down that it don't have a deep bed, like this they should have made it as if it had a hard bed cover ( you can out stuff on and imagine there are something under it )

I sort of wish they had made it a bit cheaper by selling it without tires.

I'm not concerned with the wheelbase. Its the how much farther the body and bumpers stick out past the tires.

With the mods you can do to the Sport bumpers such as turning the mounts upside down and trimming of the body it should work great, the videos I've seen they have been impressive, I don't have mine yet but my Bronco is a beast.

It's difficult to mold deep beds. And then they cause interference with RC suspension setups.

Don't worry about it. Drive it. It's a non-issue IMO.

I’m planning on addressing the shallow bed by using a “canvas” tarp strapped down. That way I’ll have the illusion of a stuffed bed. Probably stitch or glue some batting or something to add lumps to enhance it.

Also going to make some sleeping bags and bedrolls while I’m at it.

Yeah i mean we have cantilever now so it can be done.
to a large degree it also work fine for the TF2 and the Mojave body, even with 4 link.

And yes to the deep bed in lexan problem, but i was thinking making it as a 2 part deal, maybe as a interior + bed that are 1 piece that fit with the rest.

Just throwing ideas out there.

Maybe a deep bed that come with some scale items that could hide anything poking up in the bed, i think this hiding the facts are not a unknown for the people deep into scale.

I think it was discussed earlier in the thread but i cannot find it; what do people recommend for wheel well liners for the sport body? TRA8018?

I used the wheel well kit for the Bronco. Not sure the part# right off hand. But I had to trim the edges to fit inside of the body.

Looks really good. "thumbsup" The part number for the Bronco wheel well kit is TRA8072.

I ordered them for my kit but it won't be here until Monday.
