What happened to handshake agreements?

Dig a bunch of holes on your property.

That way, if only one or two get filled in, it won't look too silly.

Put some plant clippings in them to biodegrade into fertilizer.

Post the sign that trespassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again.

I had one of those posted and it got shot up. There's nothing left of it. Was a nice metal sign i got at a sign shop in myrtle beach a few years back. I miss that sign.

I think we may have a suspect. The neighbor's kid (16 yr. old) has been caught on the property having a look around. Confronted the kid and he ran away. Confronted the dad and he ran away. Caught them driving through the grass on Saturday and tried to have a word with them to no avail. Reported the trespassing to the police and was told that with no evidence there was nothing they could do. Gave them the camera footage and was told that it was inconclusive. Anyway fast forward to Sunday night, alarm went off when someone walked into the yard past the alarm sensor. Ran outside to see what it was and low and behold the dad was speeding off in his car. He hasn't been home since. When he does come home i will be waiting in the road leading to his house (a state right of way) to ask what his fascination he has with our property. I am fed up with the break-ins and BS that we've had to put up with. Wish me luck!

dude, where do you live?

ever think of moving?

I live in a suburb of Beckley W.Va. just on the outskirts of a Wal-Mart. And no, we don't have a homeowners association, we're bound by local ordinances as far as the firearm issues go.

Well theres your problem, move away from the Wal Mart.

I agree. I wonder if you could talk to the security people at Walmart and compare videos/pictures with them. Maybe they too have had problems with these people.

I'm passed the gun issue (although being a licensed Realtor in Tennessee, I've never seen a deed worded like yours; of course Tennessee is not West Virginia). I'm thinking more in terms of ways to protect yourself which would involve all of your neighbors. Surely you are not the only victims or potential victims. It's time for a proactive neighborhood watch. Your police force seems corrupt and therefore useless.

The outskirt of a Wal-Mart was more of a joke, although we do have two walmart's within four mile of each other in our town. Most of the neighbors do watch out for each other, but the neighbor in question has managed to piss off everyone else in the neighborhood. Our neighbors are mostly retired people and i try to do what I can to help them out. Still no return of the wuss dad or the son. Hoping they come back soon so we can have a friendly discussion.

I had my card stolen and used at our local Walmart. They will not share information on the videos or pics with anyone unless it has to do with a theft of their property. Even if someone breaks into your car on their lots. I had the bank, Sheriff dept and Walmart involved over $67 worth of charges.

When your CC takes their money back and tells WM to go fawk themselves, then they'll care. "thumbsup"

Yeah, it was a long shot but sometimes in small communities Billy Bob's cousin Bobby Sue is screwing her booss' brother whose wife works in the jewelry dept. at Walmart and is screwing one of the security guards who owes Billy Bob a favor.

:lmao:you know bobby too?!?

It was my debit card btw, I had 5/3rd at the time. They lost my mortgage, auto , savings and checking over that deal. I literally pulled everything and refinance with my local credit union.

Good man. "thumbsup"

I asked the branch manager if she was going to lose my business over $67, and her reply was "Well are you going to stop doing business with Walmart too?" She got me.

Hope they leave you alone man. There's nothing like feeling unsafe in your own neighborhood. Good luck bub.

I would have said "yes". I cant stand Walmart.

BTW, I've closed my bank accounts (I had 5 with this one bank) over a matter of $12.....:ror:

Just got back from the local Sheetz with dinner and found that one of the building doors had been messed with. They didn't get in but the door was tampered with. Came inside to turn off the breaker to the electrical pads and found it had been tripped. Someone is an unhappy camper if they got lit up like i think they did. Pulled the plates and there are two black marks on them and it appears that it got them on bare skin, possible the knees. Gonna put the plates back out later tonight under the cover of darkness (and since the wife doesn't know what i'm doing, don't want her to flip out at the solution i have come up with) and hope that this is the end of the problem. We'll see if anyone reports being severely electrocuted and the next few days. I figure that the police may pay me a visit too, so the plates may have to wait a bit.

Glad to hear you got those plates hooked up that will prevent worrysome shocks in your shop  Additional case grounding is always a good idea. You obviously weren't aware of the faulty wiring in your shop, but you are now aware of the breakers tripping some nights. You should really look into whats causing that, must be a short in the wall somewhere...

Just don't tell the cops anything, except you are having trespassers and signs of tampering. They can legally lie to you without recourse to get you talking, and NOTHING that you say will be used for you in court. Your word is only used against you, and it is obvious the cops aren't worried too much about stopping the thieves. That is hard work after all. But it is easy work to arrest somebody that admits to a crime in their face.

Yeah i think its somewhere in the flourescent lighting that might have caused the problem... I unhooked everything that was out there and reset the breaker "thumbsup" No word thus far from the po-po, will be going back out to the workshop tonight to work and keep an ear out for anything that is not supposed to be there. May have to take my little 6 chamber friend with me again.

I remember many years ago when I lived in Miami that there was a store owner that was having porblems with break ins.Theives kept breaking in thru the same window every time.So one night he stripped a boxspring down to just the frame and springs, put it under the window and hooked 220v to it.Next morning when he opened the front door he said the whole shop smelled like bacon.Went and checked his trap to see the thief dead and still smoking. He ended up being sued by the family of the thief. He eventually won.

Hope you catch them.
