Took the day off yesterday and got a little work done. *I went to the junkyard and got a new 4wd shifter (broke the threads off mine). *I installed the ds new brake lines but ran into issues with the pass side. *Shocks went on easy and fit perfect (used the grinder to cut the old ones off). *I also talked myself out of keeping the YJ hood for "a future project". *I also replaced the tierod and drag link ends. *realllly needs an alignment. Took the scrappers 12 mins, was a well dressed man and his sun with a nice looking truck Look at all the shiney parts |

Progress pics will be awesome, I'll be watchin this thread for sure! I don't really mind the square headlights, but there's always a place in my heart for those CJ front ends Awesome project, keep up the good work! |

who ever said CJ front end parts bolt right on to yj's... was full of it! * I was planning to run flat fenders *of but, I got these for $25 each. *I had to cut the living heck out them to get them to fit. *I also had to cut the snot out of the grille to get it in. *You have to cut the corners off the grille and hack a huge chunk out of the bottom to clear the PS box. * I managed to break a ps line while I was fitting the grille so, new lines will have to be installed. I talked to my neighbor and... my trans is DONE! *He is waiting for the torque converter to come back from the rebuild. |

Ive herd that if you have a two inch body lift that is supposed to be easy than. Its well worth the work . |

a body lift would help avoid cutting but, you would still have to fab a new lower mount for the grille (which I still have to do).

I did the flat fenders a couple weeks back. I was heading to a Jeep event today... at 11am my new rear bumper showed up, by 11:45 I was leaving with the new bumper install and new spacers made for the spare tire holder. Talk about thrashing, I have to say my neighbor was a huge help. |

My bumper came in from Nates4x4.com. *A quick prime and paint and on it went. This weekend I picked up the trans I plan to use... *Dana 300. *I need to flip it and twin stick so, it wont be in by winter. |
