I'm using a fishing line from Dacron. It's some kind of braided line and rated at 50lb. I got it at Dick's sporting goods. Was like $20 for 300 yards.

Did some quick painting and clear coated the planks. Added some D-rings out back too.

You're a machine Nick, nice work! Your rear suspension looks exactly like my friends 4-Runner, he has the 3/4 buggy thing going on too.

Do you have any axle wrap with the 3/4 rear setup?

I copied your idea on ther rear with my brusier frame with TLT axles and the rear end sucks under the truck really bad on hill climbs. Or it twists up and ends up bending my main leafs. I had to ad a link set up to keep the axle from moving forward.
I also think my u bolts on the upper 3/4 leafs are mounted farther back than yours.

I don't have any axle wrap issues but I do have problems with kinking the leafs. I'm waiting on delrin leafs to get done machining. How long are you shackles and how long is the top leaf that is upside down? I bet is your front mount for the leafs is a lot higher than the rear shackles then the axle will want to swing towards the front of the truck. If the front leaf mount is the same height has the rear there really is no way for that to happen unless you start twisting up leafs.

My shackles are the stock Bruiser ones. I'm using stock Bruiser mounting points in the front of the leafs. The axle attachment points for the rear leaf are level.
I think my upper leafs are too long. I have them clamped (in the bend)right where the Bruiser frame starts to bend down in front of the rear wheel. And they are little in from the rear lower leaf mount. So my shackles are at about a 75-80 degree angle.
I will shorten up and see if that helps.

I didnt want to hi jack your thread with my probs, but you gave my some great ideas for mine.

No problem at all. Let me know how your changes work out for you. I basically kinked all my leafs today running so the truck sits really low and uneven. Can't wait to try some delrin ones.

To the car to warm up. I'm gonna toss the motor in the trash and put something else in. That should fix it.

It definitely wasn't the nicest weather that's for sure! I was freezing at the end. Hopefully we can try it again soon when the weather is nicer. Hopefully there are some decent pics.

Here are some updated pics of the Yota. Got the cab painted and added a snorkel from lowslowtj. Top notch quality from him like always!

Also almost finished the rear window. Middle window slides. Just need to paint on some frames.

Then I gave it a good beating!
