| **MSD** UTE Montero charity build
yes, I'm making a 4 door, lol... I'm starting another build, to be raffled off at scale nationals with the proceeds going to the American Diabetes Association, http://www.diabetes.org/home.jsp . I'm going to take two pajero 2dr bodies and splicing them together to make an extreme off road 4 door Montero. These are the inspiration, build will be something between these: land rover discovery Montero Plans are: - MSD's UTE chassis - TLT or Axial axles (with special hush-hush MSD replacement housings) - MSD Ultimate axle c's - MSD Ultimate lock outs - 1.9 beadlocks (MSD or my CAC's) - MSD 1.9 wheel nut / center caps - FULL EXO CAGE - Possibly full interior with the rear facing door removed and spare tires, tool boxes, etc in back. - 55t motor - waterproof electronics - undecided on trans, possibly R2, possibly axial trans/transfer case. - Possibly winch - Lights - snorkel -Body will also get the grill remade correctly including US spec headlight lenses (not round headlights) and actual turn signals and taillights instead of painted body. Why a charity build? a) I love the building aspect of it but I'm short of funds to do a build for myself. donations are being requested to build the truck. b) I don't have time to drive the 4 trucks I currently have so adding another just doesn't make sense. Why Diabetes? My mom is diabetic and her kidneys failed a couple years ago due to it. She's doing Dialysis 3x a week and my sister and I keep tabs on her health (sister's a nurse) so this is something meaningful to me, as well I'm sure to many others. Some people I know have donated money to my build. Some guys at Scale4x4rc have donated parts for me to either use or sell to fund the project. I will be donating my time, materials for the build, miscellaneous materials, motor, servo for winch, CAC wheels, etc. From time to time I will be posting up some parts for sale. I will clearly title them as charity related and all money will be used to fund the project directly. Last edited by pantablo; 11-11-2008 at 03:09 PM. Reason: MSD replacement TLT housings |

| Great Charity
Great start Pablo. As we discussed the other day, MSD will help out in anyway we can to make this a awesome truck. Both of my parents are diabetic. My mom is type 1 and my dad has type 1 and 2, so this charity really hits home for me as well. This is gonna be a amazing 1.9 scale rig, we will auction it off the final night of MSD Scale Nationals 2009 at our huge raffle and awards assembly. 100% of the $ goes to charity. The winner will get 1 incredible truck that has a lot of history and help along the way. Ben- Owner - MSD |

Looking good. The cut up Montero in the back looks funny for some reason. A Smart Montero! |
