Looks wicked nice man. Especially that rear axle. Almost looks like it came that way.

Not really a switch but more of an addition to...

I'm still going to do the others up, basically one thread, two builds.

Maybe my new C1 and C2 rigs.
So is the C2 rig getting portals also ?

So does mean that you will be using axial trans instead of MRC one?

You should have Commandant Klink or Colonel Hogan driving, and Sergeant Schultz riding as a passenger. lol

C1 will be MRC axles with portal mod, MRC trans, Mongoose Brushless

C2 will be Yota axles with portal mod, Axial trans, 35t on 3s or Novak 18.5 brushless.

... Not to mention new axles as well.

First of all, please don't ask me for the measurements to perform any of the mods or for me to make you a set.
Was that the chili or ambition?

Hey could you measure....

Looks good Dean can't wait to see how this goes.

Thanks! Neither chili nor ambition, just tired of the same old stuff.

BTW, parts should be here from Axial, TCS and RPP tomorrow!

Thanks to RPP, TCS and especially Axial for supplying me with everything I need for all my projects!

Awesome Dean, I really like your "built not bought" outlook. As you keep raising the bar, I was never close but now its completely out of reach.

2 things I believe that keep the portals alive shimming the top gear into pin more and gunnar pins

I got these shims from Mcmaster's. I used them shim the top portal gear more into the pin. I ran a G6 and the pin ate the bearing.

I also got Gunnar make me custom pins for the portals instead of the short stock pins. I had to file each pin down till it fit, but well worth effort.

So far I been loving my portals. I going try them out on 4s.

So far, no portal death on any of my previous projects. Thanks, I'll keep the shims in mind, definately need longer pins in the top shaft.

Which came with all of this....

Which allowed me to make these...

Rear end all mocked up and finalized. Just need to make the panhard mount at the frame.
