Looks like Jim left with the neighborhood chick, and isn't returning. Typical story, guy gets truck, guy tears truck apart to build, guy finds girl, guy falls in love, girl says, "get that junk out of the garage". I'll bet his truck will end up on ebay soon. Come on Jim, resist the power of the patch! |

There is a hole in the back of the wheel already you just have to drill all the way through it. Chassis mods thus far: Full bearings longer wheel base custom 4 link setup alum shocks 55T motor 32p rc10gt spur gear lots of cutting to the front skid plate added Maxx driveshaft Steering servo soon to be relocated (interior) Steering system and post upgraded Drove all the way to Madison, Wisconsin yesterday in search of the boggers with no luck. But, now I have a full set of MT/R's, and I have 2 of the a/t interco tires with the big wheels. Them bogger tires are really really hard to find. |

i just built my touareg its a nice little truck it went together with out a hiccup id recommened it to anyone. Its like any tamiya kit so you can expect it to be nice. it also comes with a ESC instead of a crappy mech POS (tower said it doesnt come with one though WTF?). Mnster for the front end did you use touring car shocks those would seem like the right length. also is your setup a 4 link or a better 2link im diggin those links. BTW great build up jims da man |

Jim decided It was time to upgrade to some high quality Baer brakes. The electronic drive train brakes just didn't give him the control he wanted. Plus the rotors came free with the limited edition MT/R's I found at the store. I had to help him machine some of the rotor away with my mill so that it fit perfectly on the hub. After removing the wheel he fit the rotor on and mounted the caliper into position. (Jane) Hey Jim (Jim) Hey Baby (Jane) Well I came by to drop off your jacket. I figured you might get cold working on the floor. (Jim) Cool thanks (Jane) Well, I better get going, so you can get back to work, come on over again tonight. (Jim) Sweet, talk to you later. Anyways Jim finished up the brakes and remounted the tire. Mounted and ready After finshing the wheel he went to work sanding the body after he primed it. He noticed the bad bedliner and went to work ripping it out. After tearing up one layer he realised that there was two layers. Extra weight that was unneeded. He said he was aiming for a spray in liner. But, soon after ripping the liner out he found there was to much CA glue all over. So I guess he will be putting a new drop in back in. Jim finished sanding and decided to take a quick break before supper. More later... |
