Finished up the body work, now just have to load the electronics and mount the battery. If I get time to build bumpers before LRC I will. but it may run like it is. Oh and these pictures were taken with my new camera

Had a guy PM me to make him a bed. It is too easy to make this bed and here's how it was done.

1st of all the honcho bed cage just happen to fit this body perfect the only thing was it was too long.

to shorten in up I simply measured and cut the cab side of the bed in a straight line.

With the silver bed liner, it left a gap in the corners. Luckily I had a new unpainted bed so I made a template out of a Honey Nut Cheerios box and cut the new bed to fit.

Too attach the bed to the body, I shoe glued the plastic bars on the bed cage to the cruiser. then after it dried some I took the same screws used to mount the lexan to the cage drilled through the body into the plastic bars to help support the weight.

easy mod that could be applied to almost any body you want.

Well after a few hours I got the electronics mounted, programed, updated, binded and installed and she's purrin like a kitten I had some issues with the front axle u joint comeing loose, I tightened it down and double set screw it. I will probablly go and get some more lock tight just incase. Found some aluminum hexes and put them on. Had to fab all the electronics mounts and battery mounts from scratch. and I fixed that pesky frame in the back and installed my new rear bumper fresh from MR. Ed's fab shop

Looks like she will make her first run and Little Rock City this weekend. I also want to give a shout out to Rok Out who came over and finished cutting my screws for my tires, and he also waterproofed both of my ESC's for me! Thanks for your help buddy Much Appreciated

Well time to work on the Cruiser has officially run out. I really wanted to do the sliders but for what I have in mind will take some time and patience, I don't want to rush it. BUT...I did finish the front bumper...It's plain but seems to flow well with the rig. I have a place to mount a winch but the fake one will have to do till I can get a real one. Here's that last pictures before I go give it some serious ROCK RASH!

Well she has here first of many to come trail chrome's ! I was very impressed on the performance of this rig. I was happy that I didn't have much tuning to do at all. I still have to build some sliders and get a "REAL" winch on the front but otherwise very happy with this build. I had a great time driving this rig, with the small tires and the short wheel base made me really work on picking my lines. I like the challenge of driving this compared to my Honcho. Here's some of the action shots at Little Rock City.

Sick half-cab! I've been wanting to do that to my 1:1 for years. I was tossing around the idea to do it on my scaler too. Great job. I love the red it's what mine was originally before the OD Green. I swear I've seen your buddies zebra FJ40 on MUD. Bummer on the cutting of the hand. I did that to the last inch of my middle finger with an exacto knife. The worst part was the "shink" sound it made coming out of the tip of my finger. Great thread I've Subscribed...

very cool build. I wonder how hard it would be to stretch the body to make it an fj45 or a lwb fj40? the honcho back fits nicely. great detail on the body too.

I just got my stuff for my build. What size shocks are you using? I have stock creeper shocks that are pretty long. I hope not too long. I do have another set of cheapos that are about half as long as the creeper ones. Also what is your wheel base? I'm doing custom links and am trying to make it so the drive lines aren't too extremely angled.

Depends on how much you like adding styrene to lexan. It can be done done but it includes alot of sanding and putty work. which I am not very good at but determination prevails every once in a while

I'm using the factory scx-10 shocks and my wheel base is a hair over 10 inches. I moved the skid plate forward on the chassis which helped the drive line angles and it put the motor and trans almost dead center of the rig. I had to make my own links and drive shafts.

Haven't done much to this rig but drive the SNOT out of it! I have found a few tweaks to do but otherwise this crawls great. Here's a shot I stole from a friend.
