Looking good mate - you'll never build a rig without that mod now that you've done it.

Thanks DoubleJ ...yeah I own 2 other trucks and want to convert them over also!! Wish the uni's were cheaper...I'm thinking if I sell all three sets of my stock aluminum Chubs and knuckles I could have the funds to convert the other 2.

Mate - I learned a long time ago to not think about the money. Just plan the upgrades as I can afford it. lol

I'm pretty tired of the honcho but this thing is super cool. Very simple yet totally custom. Dig all the vacuum formed stuff too, been meaning to try my hand at that as well. Great truck

Got the time to fab up some rear shock mounts it was tough coming up with an idea that fit in the small area I left myself with. I hope they will score me some scale points

Its been awhile since I have updated this thread.. I have been comping and driving the hell out of Fred, I upgraded the rear axle with some Beef Toobs. 2 weeks ago at a UTRCRC honcho/ Wrangler spec event Fred came in 7th out of 21 entries and last week at a USCA class 2 event we placed second out of 6 just missing first by two point. here's a few pics from the last little while...

here I ran out of time right at the finish gate.. dammit.

found him a buddy to pose on.. both vehicles rocking pitbull tires

a couple in shop photos

Yeah I'm not sure what I did with the buck I'm pretty sure I got rid of it.

I'm running Fred at the SWSC in April so I hope to do a quick rebuild and repaint the chassis before then .... Guess I better get working on it ..
