Maybe once the chassis is lowered that these 4.5 tsls will look better on here . Maybe before I drop the chassis I should get my new tsl xls and mock it up before lowering it cause I bet I will just have to raise it back up afterwards anywys chassis

Gonna go with some tube doors thats the next project for the body . Still need grab bars for the cage those are gonna be hard to get on since I only mig stuff. I am going to do the same nose as my other jeep and I have been toying with the idea of tube fender sliders not sure yet though on those. it will be getting boat sides for sure and inner fender wells all in good time .

Lol that is clean compared to what it looked like 2 weeks ago . I really need to clean it off and repaint it white again . Thanks for the compliments . I am really trying to scale this one up, as well as make it perform well . Still lots of stuff to do to it with the chassis and suspension and body and bumpers and...... you know the drill lol . I think a few really long nights spent on it i could finish it up but life alwaYs gets in the way .

So havent had alot of time for building these lsst few days but was sitting watching a movie with the wife and decided to shorten the rear links up heres a few pics this will be the final wheel base its sitting at now . It looks good but I think its still sitting a little high but im running out of shock room under the back seat .I have 70 mm shocks on the rear but im not sure if I will like not having much rear flex . The shocks have to stand straight up so 12 mm travel may not be enough .I may have to buy some 80 mm king shocks for the rear on to a few pics Thanks for lookin Last edited by Rodamis; 08-31-2013 at 03:32 AM. |

Thanks for compliments guys .these bodies are just amazing for detail and the body is the same thickness all over . It will last for a very long time . Wont be able to work on it till monday have to go to a wedding ........ wifes friends .2 dollar drinks im gettin loaded and makin an ass of myself lol on monday im gonna work on the doors and the relocation of the tranny and suspension parts and shock hoops front and rear . I think if I lower it 5mm from the suspension side the ride height will be perfect for the look im going for and the cog will be better . Till monday guys have a great weekend |

Bodies like this one make me think more and more about ditching my lexan bodies.

I like the hard bodies over lexan any day . I like how they move like 1:1 rigs . This body and cage are 1.5 lbs and it will probably sway around and thats what I am looking for |

Ok so the wedding was a bust lol wife got a headache and we had to come home so yay put her to bed and hit the shop for some build time . I started by welding the bumper onto the frame and made some shock towers with multiple mounting points. built them as close to the body as I could which is touching the body and had drilled the holes to barely clear the shocks on the body. The 70mm kings are straight up and down and just as I thought very little for articulation. I am going to try it out and if I dont like it I will get some 80mm g transitions and run them upside down drooped. I removed the old tranny mount and sat there for an hr doing mock up trying to get the tranny, servo, battery, and the rest of the electronics under the hood. Found the jackpot but I did not build any mounts yet. So here are some pics of what I did accomplish tonight thanks for takin the time to look at my work . Tomorrow ill build more |

So wasn't able to put a bunch of time into it today but I did do a few things . I cut the hood out. .... what a pain that was now I have to find something to hinge it and make it look scale . I mocked up the tranny and where the servo will actually go and what angle . The battery and esc are going on the firewall In a bracket I need to make still .heres a couple pics of it sitting there The tranny doesn't interfere with any suspension or drive line parts. this is where it will sit and this gives me enough room for the battery tray on the firewall and brings the cog down up front just a bit |
