Thanks. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I have a couple ideas but they will depend on if I run a spare tire or not. If i run a spare the mount will tie into the rear part of the cage. If no spare I'll just do a simple box bumper.

I decided to put a spare tire on this rig. Just not sure at what angle to mount it at. I want it as low as possible for the best COG. These are the two best options I can think of. I like the look of the traditional vertical mounting but it gives a bad departure angle but I like the departure angle of the 45* mounting. Give me you opinions. Thanks

And finished off the front bumper

Winch hook loop

soldering on the fairlead mount

fairlead mount done, fairlead mounted, winch mounted

I know the spool on the winch is off center and looks weird but I didn't want the winch motor hanging off the side of the bumper.

Found some batteries that will fit on the boatsides.

All the fab work is done and now its time to tear it all apart, paint every thing, find all the correct hardware to assemble it all and put it back together..

I got on a major role and the next thing i knew it was a roller with the electronics mounted. I ended the evening with having a running chassis.

Pics are a little hard to see, I'll get better ones in the day light. I was going to painted the body yellor but I really like the black on black look. I think I'll be running this one by the weekend.

Wow myth, this rig looks a lot better without all the decals. Did you paint the body or just remove the stickers? All that awesome look'n cage work you did and front bumper would have probably stood out if you painted another color...but it still looks sweet.

If I had any brazing or welding skills I would have started a thread on my YJ. I will just post up pics once it's complete

hope i can see you and your Jeep at a gtg soon

Thanks Baja.
That's the only thing I don't like about the all black. In the day light it should be more defined. The cage, bumper and sliders are a different tone of black then the body. They color may still change. I just haven't found the color(s) that really grab me.

Its been a while since I posted anything about my TJ. Ive been running it every chance I get and its a really fun rig. Not so great on steep climbs with the short wheel base but it crawls awesome.
Heres some misc pics of the interior and a couple poser shots

The first page of the build thread has all the fab work pics.
I made a mount right behind the passenger side shock mount that the trans bolts to and used a GCM transfer case on the stock Axial skid.
