So it's been another year of wheeling the"Spare Parts TJ" and it's still going strong. The last year has brought some up grades and additions.....
First a driver, I wanted one that looked as close to a "real" person, no wrestlers. I found Han Solo..

Next necessity was axels, when SSD debuted the D60 I knew they were going to find a home under the TJ

Along with awesome axels came the need to dress up the ends of them, RC4WD scale front hubs and Locked UpRc scale rear hubs

Added some rock lights

After the original build I found it didn't like steep climbs. My local Hobby Shop, Krazy Kevins had one of our San Diego Scalers club members design a link riser. I installed it and it made the short wheel base TJ into a Billy Goat. Steep climbs are no longer an issue

Shinjari hooked up a Warn winch that fits way better on my bumper so the TJ now has a working winch

So that's the last year of mods/upgrades for the Spare Parts TJ. It's still a blast to drive and will continue dominate the my local trails.

I like the used up look on your little jeep! Hell no need to sand it for fresh paint

It was definitely built to be used, no shelf queen here

Just saw this. Excellent TJ Myth! I'm starting a TJ build myself so I'm always glad to have nice work to steal ideas from. So raising the mounting point of the front upper links makes a huge difference in performance?

I theorize the more scale winch and matching spare helped with the steep hill climbs...NOT the risers...so remove them and send the risers my way.

Sorry for the year later response but yah, it changes the anti squat and pushes the front down on the steep climbs and its actually the frame side of the upper read links
