Thanks a lot! It's not one of your styrene master pieces but it gets the job done.

Here's a sweet video by one of our club members Leprechaun at one of our comps, he caught two of my runs with the Merc. If the rig looks a little jerky on my run it's because of the motor I was running that started acting up and is now on its way to be repaired by Brood.
First run is 7 minutes in and second is at about 11 minutes in.

Update: Found out from EddieO that my motor had shards of metal in it that caused a short in my armature and that's why the car was acting the way it was.

The Merc looks good on the trail and seems very capable.

I received a package from Locked Up RC and Rpp Hobby today with some parts to freshen up the old Mercury before SWSC.
From LURC I ordered up a set of 5 Gridlock OG rings to replace the well worn Inspired rings for the Iconic bead locks and my TH spare and new Zinc scale hardware.
I also ordered up some goodies for the axles in the way of a pair of F1 Spools and OT Shaft SCX10 straight axles.
And for me a new T-shirt.

BEFORE:

AFTER:

From Rpp Hobby I ordered up some VP Zero Ackerman knuckles and a STRC aluminum 4 link truss. My old VP knuckles were over 3 years old and getting a little sloppy.

I found myself a full set of Pro-Line scale shocks to replace the leaky SCX10 units here in the classifieds and got them installed while I had everything tore down.

Only thing left to do now is replace the old Savox servo with the Hitec 7950 I have sitting on the bench.

Thanks for the compliment!

She had her first "untested" comp with all the new parts today including new Beef Tubes up front. Guess I should have done some testing first, ended up taking a 3rd for the day which isn't bad but I took out two gates because of the uneven weight bias.

The undertaker stopped along the way to pick up some poor bastard who was looking for a ride... he doesn't look too happy to be here right now.

I used this guy a few years back in my aluminum bodied Chevy truggy and have always wanted another.

Getting the rigs ready for the SWSC and the Concourse so I'm doing a little detail work in between regular maintenance.
The side windows were getting pretty scratched up and it was getting hard to see inside so I decided to cut them out and add a little more detail to the passenger.

I took the Merc out for it's final shake down run before the big show and it was great! I did manage to break a rod end on my pan hard bar but was able to get it back together on site so no big deal.
